The comparison is they are both snowmobiles, cost roughly the same when new and are intended for the same purpose. As to which will go where, that depends on the rider and always will. The problem is, there shouldn't be so many large issues with an expensive brand new STOCK machine. The fact that a company like Yami can do it reliably for the same price is just one more kick in the nuts.....because it obviously CAN be done.
And you should not have to buy a $6000 turbo (plus install for most guys) to make a stock mountain sled ridable in the mountains. Most turbo Apex's owners have over $20 G's into their sleds by the time they are complete.
Don't get me wrong the turbo Apex's do rock, but the XP is a pretty strong runner once the clutching is dialed in. I say ride what you got, learn tuning tips from other owners and be happy.
