Can some one post a few pics for me of what the race hill looks like this year and the climbing hill for the BIS?
There are many, and they are in different areas around Boulder. This is one I climbed in Boost 3.
I hope they get some more snow before then, cuz I know a few guys would like to take a run at it, including myself.

I agree 100%. The biggest and most important issue would be to keep the alcohol off of the hill. This would probably eliminate 90% of the garbage issue as well. The garbage on the hill is still the one thing that will continue to be a sore spot with me, but whatever, I will still stop and pick it up.

Ozone is doing a awesome job on putting this together and is working on it 24/7.He's is going to great lenghts of taking care of things.Even has a garbage solution.(know's some people in the Waste Management B.I.S.:beer);:D

Now this I have to see. LOL

Since you are on here being Ozones spokes person, why is there a banner ad here on Snowest and there has been no formal contact with the Revelstoke club???? If there is no insurance for this event, someone gets hurt or worse, will they sue "SNOWEST" as being a promoter?
There are many questions to be answered. The club is being asked many questions they can't answer as the "organizer" has no contact. Big brother government is reading this with much interest and will have their own set of rules.

Pretty sure handing out Hefty`s on the hill isn`t taking care of things.

whats a hefty??? is that kinda like "whats a henway". I also heard from the club and the society that they were going to relax the $1000 passes and let in as many people as possible.

From my friends that live in Revy they said they heard they are sticking to the 1000 FIRM!! Letting anymore than 1k would just be complete chaos

we'll miss having you there Lapp! Youd be one of my pics for serious contender this year, Ill salute a pink drink to you buddy! (at zalas and after riding... of course)

I honestly believe that drinking on the hill has really reduced over the last 3-5 years. I dont see it much anymore, although this extreme event would naturaly atract the loosers that come for the carnage and drinking. we all will just do our part to prevent it and as neil said I will deffinatly pick up any garbage I see on the mountain!

I say the more people the better, lets be responsible and show Revelstoke that we are the long term backbone of the community!

Are you bringing the 60 lbser or am I?!! Keep the ****in booze off the hill. Lapper u will be missed and after what i have seen our last 2 trips a serious contender, i agree. Note to self... bring ****in "A" game.

Dave by Hefty`s I meant are you handing out garbage bags up top to take care of that problem.
The 1000 rider limit has to be strictly enforced because of the BIS in 2006, there were approximately 3200 riders then. It is the # that was put in place for the club and society to be able to sucessfully manage the area. We also have to inform the MoF and MoE any time we expect a more than average # of riders now.
You won`t see any support from the mayor nor do I think he`ll hand out a cup. Our new mayor is the head of MoF, he told us in a public meeting after the 2006 BIS he would be looking forward to the azz kissing we would be doing to renew our management agreements in the future should an event like the 2006 BIS ever happen again.
When the parking lots are full they will be closed. There will not be any additonal parking areas provided. Parking is not permitted along Westside Rd.
Being a member of the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club does not ensure you will be allowed up the hill.

I've been there for the past three events, and I can't believe that an event like this being so popular can't be turned into something positive for the sport and the community together.I think it just needs to be approached properly.I believe it is such a shame that it can't be turned into a fund raiser for CANCER or something of that nature. So many people that are interested in the BIS ,so if there would be a way to organize this into a good thing.I've been to Yellowstone for the Expo, and the area embraces the deal. Why can't this happen to the BIS????
I'd like to combine my dollars being spent (toward Revy & club),entertainment value and sledding all into one good cause like cancer, etc. Win-Win!!!

Youd have to know the nonsledder mentality of most revy ppl. They are the biggest suckaces you will meet. Sledders bring in TONS of cash to that town, pretty much save it in the winter and all you hear is whining. Our rigs take up all the parking , we scare the 'bou , you cant get parking at the restaurants . They remind me of the farmer who whines all year about his bad crops and when he gets a good one whines about how much work it is to bring in. The towns ppl there have the meca of sledding at thier doorstep and yet this town cant even run a sled shop , if it wasnt for lordco you could barely find a screwdriver in that town. They have the premier sledding event and all they talk about is how to shut it down or limit it. They had the big announcement about approval of the ski hill , saw thier property go up 5x and think they are now living in whistler. Guess again idiots. These nonsledders are about the most annoying ppl I have met. i have NOT met OT yet so there is room to UP the scale.

Is the mayor of Revy elected by the people of Revy?
If YES...Well you know my next question.
........................................................................................................
Or is like the Royal Family, where each inbred family member waits his or her turn at the throne.?

About what is the full capacity of the Parking/Staging area?

Curious were the members of the Club consulted when the deal to limit riders to 1000 was made? I'am sure they were, What was the majority opinion.?

Mayor of Revelstoke e-mail address

Send him a note reminding him that sledders were there before the ski hill and will be there after the ski hill goes broke

draven@cityofrevelstoke.com

Keep it polite, let him know as we head into challenging times the town should finally recognize the importance of sledders to the city of revelstoke!
