2025 Neo + 85hp..

I stand corrected, that stock pipe IS really restricted. Wow
It's not "restricted", it is just NOT a tuned pipe, it's a straight exhaust like a 4 stroke.

So yes a tuned pipe will greatly increase power, but I don't believe you can get by without tuning. 25hp is a lot of fuel usually...

Since we’re on the topic of power on this sled, let’s talk about the stupid battery only starting option on this sled. Yes, I’ve known this and knew this when we purchased it…. It works fine when it works, but clearly yesterday it didn’t. I had to tow my son back to the trailer yesterday about 15 miles because his battery died…. After digging him out….

Part of me thinks that the trail tech bleeds power. Anyone concur? Also, his battery was dead after sitting the summer and I fully charged it back up before yesterday. Probably needs a new battery also.

But, really how stupid is no pull cord!

That’s unfortunate that you had to tow it. I agree that a pull starter should be standard. Did you try to use the emergency rope they provide to wrap around the clutch to manually start it? I’d also recommend upgrading to an Earth X Lithium battery. I’ve had great luck with them and run them with trail techs and the 10” display. I have the 25 Neo as well, and used a ETZ14C for it. Earth X

I did not use the rope in this instance, don’t even think about honestly. Not to mention we were near the base of a avy slide path and wanted to really both my boys out of there quick.

Good to know about that battery, I’ll check it out.

The pull cord was never available on a estart sled. I had to put one on my 2016 T3.

I mean, it doesn’t say if you look up that part number that it fits anything newer than the 2018 does anybody know a dealer that would let them know if this would work and some clutching?

I bought a Neo + in 2023 and the first thing the mechanic at our dealer said after seeing it was that all it would need was a pipe to gain 25 HP and no he did not know that SLP did just that. So yes it has a very restrictive pipe and no it does not need tuning. Just a pipe and clutching evidently. We are now ready to take ours to the next step so I will wait and see if Ski Doo has a retrofit kit and if not I will get the pipe and clutching from SLP before next winter. I feel that we are going to need to upgrade it now just to have any kind of a resale value.
Did you guys ever do anything with this?

Looking at 2024 parts catalog, say a 90hp backcountry sport has a different cylinder PN to a NEO+ 60hp. NEO+ 90 2025 has the same PN cylinder as the backcountry Sport 90. So guessing the porting isn't exactly the same between the 60 and 90hp versions.
