Big herd of Elk

I just got back from spending over a week hunting elk muzzleloading on that side of the state down by mt. adams.... didn't see a single elk.. and this.....

we get stuff like that all over all winter long here. if its a good snow winter we get them right down into town. and one of our trailheads(hardware ranch) is a feeding station and you can watch hundreds of elk while loading and unloading your sled and gettin ready. you can pay some $$$ and the forest service will take you out on a horse drawn sleigh right out into the middle of the heard, its pretty sweet. we also see lots of big bulls in our hunting area to, but its a spike only unit so it sucks.

You used to be able to ride out on the feed trucks outside of Yakima and help feed Elk and used to be able to drive up one of the roads right in the middle of em. Then a couple of smart arse Indians thought they should use them for target practice and that ended that.
