An obervation from a Polaris owner.

My post was more of a joke. The poo lovers in here are way more serious about their brand than I ever have been.

No need to explain yourself - it's a public forum and one that many people (myself included) are dumb enough to pay for - post whatever ya like. It's boring if no one replys to stuff - especially a good ol brand bashing thread like this one. If anyone is stressing about this in real life they need to step away from the screen for a bit.

Cat and Doo riders think its ok to ride a fat heavy pig. I guess I don't understand the intense loyalty. If cat or doo was pushing the envelope like Polaris is I would have absolutely no problem buying one. I don't care what the sticker on the side says. Seriously, under 400 with a single pipe? If they were all that light, I'd just flip a coin.

As far as reliability, they are all similar just different areas of concern.
I like them all. Right now for me, cat is the most fun to ride. But damn that axys is sweet!

"Fat, heavy, pig". What a statement. For 2015 the wet weight diff. is 40 lbs. After you replace the can on a Cat you're talking about 25 lbs. That's 4 gallons of gas. Can you tell when you've burned 4 gallons of gas? The T3 Doo difference was less than that. Weight matters and I wish Cat/Doo would attempt to compete on that front a bit, but the difference isn't that great. Having spent a lot of time on all three, there are handling advantages to each platform. The Poo doesn't feel the lightest or perform the best in all situations. Not by any stretch. You might actually enjoy riding something else if you spent some time on one. It takes a few hundred miles to really appreciate a sled. I do agree Poo has set a high bar with the Axys, but since 2014 it's essentially been a wash.

Exactly. The Polaris with a 163x2.6 will be sub 400 lb dry weight with a $250 can. That's impressive I don't care what you ride.

yippy.poo finally caught up to a 400# 08 skidoo for only $10000 more.those pretty colors sure are spendy.LOL.

but comparable models.standard pro rmk with chaincase is a porky 435#s.

or you could slap a belt drive on 08 skidoo and you have a 413# axys.LOL.

so it looks like no 2016 sled will be lighter than a 2008.

I had a 2008 Summit 146X - it was a decent sled, the 800R still goes great compared to any of the new stuff in a drag race. But regardless of what it weighed or didn't weigh - to think it compares with the mountain performance (climbing, deep snow, sidehills, etc) of any of the new stuff is....unrealistic.

Also shouldn't you be bashing Doo for not being able to compete with THEIR OWN 2008 model sled weight wise? As opposed to Polaris, who has been building a stronger, bigger, better sled - that also happens to weigh less - for nearly 6 years now?

And I took them 8 year's to do it. Doo found out long ago weight v strong have a breaking point. Just look what poo had for an 800 motor back in 08....

As a doo owner (3 actually) I find it laughable comparing doo strength wise to the poo... the doo front end is a sad & unfunny joke that needs a bunch of work to survive even a small hit.

"yeah, most of them are tweaked at least a little, just ride it"... a COMMON saying in the doo forum. It's easily fixable, as is the tunnel issue on the poo which I've never even seen in person, but stock vs stock, ESPECIALLY comparing an 08... the doo is a joke.

a bigger joke, since i dont know anybody that has ran into boulders, lol is that a 08 uggy doo will probably hang right with a 14k pretty poo poo.
