I’ve ridden a g4 with t motion and didn’t care for it. Rode it again with t motion locked out and it was much better. The g5 turbo is the best handling doo I’ve ridden but I still can’t get it through the trees like I can on a Polaris.

My buddy that has the skidoos rode Polaris up until a few years ago. When he was on Polaris he mostly hang in the tight trees. Now that he’s on doo he takes different lines.

Different strokes and all but I’d get a 2019+ polaris 850

Get another Catalyst 600 and turbo it. If your happier with the reliability of the Cat stick with them. Know some people with 600 turbos and they love them. Chassis is amazing as you know.

Well I won’t lie, iam a little bit apprehensive about the cats right now untill they make an announcement that the brand will indeed survive. I don’t really want to worry about parts and service with my 600 now . I guess there are alot of guys who have them feeling the same way? Iam betting there are some guys who are kissed. You wouldn’t by a new car or truck or much of anything at that price commitment if you knew they where closing their doors. Dunno about cat right now. I will say I had planned to buy a 858 next year . Bummer. But for now I think it may be a wiser choice to learn to ride a poo or doo lol

There will be parts for awhile regardless. Parting out often pays more than selling and provides plenty of parts. Works both if you’re looking to get rid of yours or repair it. We have guys that will take them and part them for us, an option if you don’t like messing with it.

How much money are you willing to throw into it initially, and how much money do you have to maintain it? That is the question. You have to pay some one over $120 per hour to fix it, since new machines are run by computers.

well I had hoped since I had allready made the larger investment that I could continue to trade in and up and or around and have fairly reliable sleds for the times. I can’t really blame textron for my cat purchase, the internet warned me they where junk. Dunno what happens now. If they go under are they collectables or boat anchors? Will there be guys that have parts like old Harley’s? Or will you have to machine your own? Lol. Iam in loading my 21 for cheaper than I’ve seen others. If your in or near Bozeman and want a 21 hardcore e-start that’s been stuck more than ride let me know!!

I’d wait until next year and see what Textron will do with Cat. Maybe they’ll start up again, or possibly sell it. Hope one or the other. If so buy that 858. They’re an amazing sled.
