Dumb suspension tuning question.

I set my rear shocks preload on my 2025 155 khaos matryx 850 NA, to whatever it said in the manual for my weight. ( 230 ish lbs maybe 250 with all my gear on )

I'ts my first polaris, it seems hard to turn in powder or to get started to turn compared to my 2024 shredder re Lynx.

Should I also be increasing the front shock preload and maybe the clickers to go with what I did with the rear? if so to what? or just fiddle with it?

Thanks

In my experience the Polaris turns much harder then the ski doo/lynx when the suspension is set up properly to make it turn easier you could add pressure to the front track shock, reduce pressure on the rear track shock or ski shocks but to make the steering effort similar to the lynx on the flat I think it will be a wheelie monster.

Wheelie monster sounds fun, it is not that right now. My buddy told me to crank the front shock preload up until i start trenching. I'll try cranking it up a bit and maybe play with the clickers. I'm guessing its a bit out of whack right now since I cranked the rear shock up for my weight but left everything else. My buddy runs every bit of preload thread on his front shock and said "you probably wont like that lol"

You have to balance the FTS with the RTS for your riding style and weight.

By cranking the rear only you created your own heavy steering.

Coming from a Doo, I over rode the crap out of my Matryx for the first 100 miles. It seems like your suspension may be stiff over all. But yes if you soften one, stiffen the other.

Also the Polaris takes inputs differently compared to BRP products. It seems to move around best while the track is spinning. So, throttle blips seemed to be way more impactful on the Polaris. Especially with the 2.75 since it's quite light and loves to spin.

You will get crazy answers to this on forums, I'll leave it at that.

Post a picture of your shocks to evaluate preload settings and shock models. Also count how many clicks out (counter clockwise) it takes till it stops on each shock to evaluate your low speed compression settings where they are set. What model khoas or pro?

Yea that is how my Shredder RE is too. brap and counter steer. Its been awhile since I rode a Doo with tmotion and flex edge track, so I can't remember how my old XM rode anymore.

Anyway added preload to front now the Poo is easier to turn and get the skis up. Might have added too much now, but made a huge difference.

Hit a stump yesterday, my first mangled A arm in 10 years lol. Lower, and blew the ski rubber out also. Which was fun because I didn't notice and was trying ride out on the left side and ski flipped upside down lol and got me super stuck.

So much easier to swap, on a Poo, fixed it when I got home. ( Somehow dealer actually had an a-arm in stock )

Looks like you're fighting the sled quite a bit. Reset the sled to factory preload settings and factory clicker settings. If you have the option of khaos or pro, you're a khaos guy.

Tough to tell with the helmet cam but it doesn't look like you're leading with your head. Turn your head and your body and the sled will follow.

Also looks like you need some more throttle in your blips but tough to tell without being there. The 2.75 spins super easy and the sled is easy easier to ride with a spinning track

Might not be I tend to get tunnel vision in the trees lol. Thanks

clickers are on factory. I just stiffened the preload up because i'm 6'6" 230 something.
