After reading all these threads, it seems "we" are just as bad as "them". Everyone complains about the government, but in truth, the problem is the us vs them mentallity. WE need to elect peopl who will work together for US...outtat these 2 I think McCain has a better record of that, will I vote for him, we'll see who else is out there when Nov comes.

cmantle1 & milehighassassin will you be supporting Obama? In detail explain why. Both of you seem to have a very simplistic view of politics and how people form their opinions around politics. That said I believe that 80% of the 50% who do vote do so based solely on emotional reasons with very little knowledge of what the candidates stand for and their party's platforms. You both fall into that category based on what you have posted.

Here is my thoughts on this. Unless I am mistaken and please correct me if I am. Milehigh Is a college student and Cmantle works for a lobbiest. Which is why I think the feel the way they do. Mile high feels this way because he is just a liberal college kid that has never had a real job or the burdens all of us do like mortages ,kids to feed ect. .Cmantle sees the dems as job security so basicly the way I see it is that they both have there reasons its just that one is formed from ignorance and the other from greed and likley the latter as well. This is why the VAST MAJORITY of us do not agree.

Im with Phatty on this Im not crazy about either candidate but in my opinion Mcain is the lesser of the two evils by a long shot. If that video does not at the least cause you to think about your saviour Obama you have already cast your vote. Talking politics on SW is like talking politics at Jr. high.

Programmed? I am pretty sure milehighassasin is a pretty free thinker, he just has a different point of view and direction of where the future should go from most of the people on here.
I would bet that the way he is viewed here is not much different then how he is viewed at school. Though, instead of being a liberal here, he is a conservative there.

I think there are a lot more liberals out there than your list includes. I have a hard time believing all the armed services and cia guys are liberals.
If there are a lot of libs, then I would think the majority would be middle class, and therefore would be most effected by increases in taxes and the like, just like the majority of people here would be.
