Good info dave.

Dave, do these turbos have the hyvo gear and chain in them?
Owner’s manual says there will be a decal on the chaincase, but my sled does not. I don’t feel like taking the chaincase apart to look.
I find it odd all of the reports to check the chain because of stretching that wasn’t a comment I recall with the G4 turbo. Thinking of it, I do not hear the whine of the hyvo on vids I watched so far like I did on the G4.

Was the decal a miss on my sled, or are other sleds missing the hyvo warning sticker.
Dave told me to tighten chain and ride it, and that one page of problems is not enough to justify a problem or recall!....piss poor brand ambassador imo!
Dave comes on to offer advice, prepare helpful videos etc. Think you’re being a little hard on the guy, if you want answers related to warranty or recall’s (and I don’t think it’s Dave’s job) contact your local dealer or BRP customer service.

Dave gets paid the least but is the face of BRP. He takes it on the chin for BRP all the time and has given sooo many cool tips and attracted new riders over the years. Give Dave Norona $150k/year. Pay the man!!!

For a company such as TKI to do the R&D and then post a solution to a forum, they must have heard about quite a few ruined chain cases. If it was a here and there thing I doubt they would have spent the time.

Here is some pictures of the install of a2020 track drive shaft into a 2023 expert
The new shaft comes with the bearing and retainer on the brake side . The only other thing needed is a bit smaller o ring on the magnet plug for speedo
Part number is on shat in picture everything fits perfectly. This is definitely not as cheap as doing the tki kit as this shaft is 510$
Plus gears and chain
Hot rod sled shop is putting together a hyvo kit with chain and gears so that might be a cheaper option than going to dealer for gears and chain,

Dave has actually been great about answering my questions in the past. That's why I asked him.

I just got done swapping out the factory chain and gears, which are the older N.A. gear and chain. Which after 500 something miles needed adjusted once, and the bottom gear had no rocking, or slop on the hub.

Installed the 2022/2021 Borg Warner stuff. That I’ve had since September.

Here are the part numbers for the Borg Warner stuff.

The chain pic, is the factory installed chain and gears. Looks pretty good.

when ordering did you have to specify to make sure that the parts you bought were HYVO since the part numbers are the same?

good point and i was wondering the same plus the fact that it's early in the season so how many have gone down in this short amount of time?

I believe the part numbers for the 23 are wrong.

The part numbers on the hyvo stuff are not the same as what was in the machine.

The stock 23 stuff is supposed to be the same chain set as the naturally aspirated stuff.

I could probably get those numbers tomorrow.

But for what it’s worth, I specifically ordered what a 22 turbo showed for parts. Never even looked up a 23, as I knew it was not the chain set as years past for the turbos.

Did you mean to quote me? I just asked a question.

Caper no that was a mistake, I’m technically challenged, not sure how I did that and couldn’t figure out how to edit it, sorry about that.
I don’t usually post to much!

Cool, thanks. I just ordered the gears and chain. May be completely unnecessary but I’ve towed a sled off the mountain and I hope to never do that again. Plus there’s the peace of mind.
