2nd bent matryx tunnel.

Those of you ordering a BMP bumper enter the promo code "Pay Later" in the promo code box. It will temporarily give you free shipping, they will send you a invoice of the actual cost when they ship it which will be much lower than the estimate the website gives you.

I'm sure a lot of you also ride motos, but probably not trials bikes. They have super flexible rear fenders. Protect your ass from the rear wheel, but flex out of the way when you loop the bike. Seems like it might be a good approach for the Matryx, too.

I have always wondered how a sled would handle with the tunnel cut off behind the seat, I would think it would be about impossible to get stuck, the rear of the sled could dig down several feet with no resistance before starting to hang up on anything. Could have some sort of a spring hinged carbon fiber panel to take the tunnels place for cooling and rider protection that could easily move upwards as snow pushes on it.Screen Shot 2021-12-07 at 5.52.09 PM.png

I need mine big enough for a small tunnel bag, but that's about it. I wouldn't cut it off entirely though, for safety reasons. Maybe keep it like it is to where the running boards attach, then flexible behind that.

I’m guessing the slash is very close to that without the downsides. (Storage, another failure point, MFG safety rules / lawsuits…..)

VEI (Vanamburg) should also have a bumper soon.

I can't wait till we get some setup snow and the riders start getting pelted in the back and helmet with hard snowballs thrown from the track.

My Alpha is pretty bad when going down hill and it has a full width tunnel.

Feels like someone is chucking rocks at me... lol

Oh it definitely flings.

Part of the alpha is the “hook forward” shaped edges.

My 3” PC 2nd gen threw stuff like crazy on my 8” tunnel cut axys.

I routinely get pelted in the helmet from the camo x on an Axys when the snow gets setup, roosting a trail too fast. Seldom happened with the 6 or 5.1. No idea how the 8 will do, but looking forward to finding out.

I have a buddy the ripped the back of the tunnel of his cat last year. ended up riding a couple days like that. Snow was constantly getting thrown between his legs on the seat and running boards. said it was also hard to concentrate on riding when your worried about falling on the track all day lol. then his throttle started to freeze. so he called it quits.

I went with the new BM Fabrications
Not bad.
I’ve mangled 2 bm fab bumpers though.

The 1/8” side plates are too thin.

The backwoods bmp side plates are 1/4” thick. Then doubled up at the rear for 1/2” thick ? Hopefully they hold up to my abuse. ?

I have a BMP bumper on the way for this same reason, thought the thicker side plates would help support the rear or the tunnel. Had a BM fab on my axys and I did think it was a nice bumper
