how is this fitting with a helium hood?

I personally cannot speak to that, but I have been looking at Skinz Helium Hoods, so if I end up with one, I will report back.

The helium hood doesn’t even come near this. Helium hood comes just as far up as the stock.

I know this isn’t a boost, but you can see where the metal frame around the 7S tucks up against where the rib cage would go. My buddy has it on his boost and it’s just fine with the helium hood.

that is not entirely true. both the stock and helium hoods come right up to it.
i have heard the helium gauge mount may need to be trimmed.

Well, I stand corrected. I will also say that the consistency of helium hoods leaves much to be desired, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some hoods need to be trimmed and some don’t.
