Just picked up a Seat Concepts Matryx Seat and thought I would put up some info if anyone else is looking to possible change out seats.
The Seat Concepts seat for the Matryx is narrower, shorter and the material is definitely more aggressive. The foam used also seems a little stiffer / denser I would say and does not seem to collapse as much. Sitting on the two you can definitely tell the difference but.....like most, we don't tend to sit too much. I was basically looking for the lower and narrower feel as I usually have my seats trimmed down and re-done. This time I opted for one of these and I think it turned out pretty good.
As far as width wise, the SC seat is about 8.25" and the stock seat at it's widest point is about 9.5"
With regard to height, the SC seat sits about 1.2" shorter then a stock.
I also weighed the two seats but not much difference there with the SC seat coming in at 3.4 pounds and the stock seat coming in at 3.8 pounds.
Attached are some pics showing the difference between the two and of course a link the Seat Concepts.
