Same here! I did it twice in one season on my Doo.. One time was a small rock the size of my fist iced in the lake and was sticking out about a 1/8 inch and the second was from hitting a small stump under the snow.. Oh and blew the motor and at 1300 miles. Hence me riding Polaris now.

Just the tapered tail (the last 6" or so supporting the tail light) is a separate piece. The main tunnel is all one stamped piece up to the bulkhead.

It’s just aluminum, saw it off and attach something else on there.
No coolers affected.
If anyone is gonna bend them on a wheelie re-entry, it will be the Khaos Boost guys on the 155. Early season snow certainly won't help, but hard or limited snow isn't exclusive to Nov/Dec. Did anyone hear of even one rhubarbed tunnel on the protos when they were getting trashed by the ambassadors?
Good point. Nothing to loose sleep over yet. Worst case, I have tin snips and a rivet gun.
Does have me thinking of a beefier bumper though, my re-entries and bow ties aren't the most precise... or even planned for that matter.
Yup, pretty easy to get somebody with a metal break or go to a Machine shop to bend up a new piece and rivet on. Could go 1 step further and make it out of slightly thicker aluminum, make it longer and slightly skinnier to fit inside the tunnel. Did that years ago on my old mod indy when i removed the heat exchangers from the running boards and put a heat exchanger in the tunnel. worked slick, never bent a tunnel after that.
I think a tight fitting carbon fiber skin would be sweet to lord’s adhesive to the entire tunnel past the seat.
Probably the best thing would involve not flipping it over backwards in marginal snow. Not much forgiveness on frozen dirt or rocks when the track has blown all the available snow away.
Start ‘Fab-n’ it up. Might be a big seller!?

There has to be more to this then just early season riding. Seems like with the limited snow and most not having their sleds yet the failure rate seems to be really high.

Just did some research, it seems this “instant buddy seat” is a new option to accommodate stranded riders in case the motor recall update is a failure. Also an option for those whose snow check is still in processing to see some hill time this season.
My dealer received a letter on it.

Looks similar to the production model ascender tunnels.Be careful when you get stuck. The right guy helping you, could fold your tunnel like a taco!!
The early build ones had thicker tunnels and no issues.
One wheelie over on a brand new 18 snowcheck mountain cat and she was done.
Keep those aftermarket guys in business
