2025 Rumors

I've been hoping for a new 3" track design from Poo... maybe it'll happen for 26.

The 275 is great for track speed but leaves something to be desired in deep snow. 325 is awesome in deep snow. Need something in the middle for that "just right" option.

Based on how Polaris is marketing things, it feels like a new chassis for trail sleds is a no go. Id expect some more buzz from them if it was a new gen.

With Ski Doo's release, its clear they're gunning for Polaris ride and weight.

I am not sure what Polaris can do to keep their advantage but it feels like they need to re-extend their lead if they don't want to lose some marketshare before the new gens

  • 9Boost is kind of an easy one. But, I would guess Polaris releases it as a limited production and keeps the 850 boost so they can continue competing at that price point
  • New track that replaces the 275 would make sense but I wonder how much it moves the needle with people who may not be familiar with what people dislike about the 2.75
  • 34in front end has been kicking around in my head. The sleds don't need help getting on edge but that's what we said when the sleds had a 36in front end. Anything that keeps the rider neutral is a welcome benefit

polaris needs to do a 4 year warranty on snowchecked boost and 9R. Skidoo is killing them there and it is transferable, may have just bought my first non polaris in 14 years.

A few things on my wish list…

- As far as advancements, I’d love to see a breakthrough in efficiency of the drive line. Lots of HP lost between the primary clutch and the track.

- We have seen the OEM’s deliver aftermarket goodies on stock sleds for years now, turbos, 7S, Pro-Taper bars, etc… how about a factory lightweight hood as a S/C option? Improved intake would also be in this category.

- I have my ‘22 boost setup pretty good, one of the things that would make me consider a ‘26 would be a version of SHOT.

- How about a simple way to adjust the limiter strap in the field? One of my early 2000’s trail sleds had an eye bolt type tension adjuster. Cheap, easy and lightweight.

I guess it could be an aftermarket track. He is(/was?) sponsored by Camso so not like he's only running Polaris OE stuff. I'll choose to be optimistic and hope it's a new OE

Pretty sure Burandt often runs protoype parts on his mod sleds for testing. Could be a new factory Polaris track, or a new Camso one.

Good picture yeah it does look a little different than the 300 lx. Hopefully it gets ported if it makes it on production sleds
Why ports? Weight? Seems like the offset in durability isn’t worth the little savings. I know there was lots of talk about loss of floatation with ports when the Doo XPs had heavily ported track. Not sure I buy into that though.

The skid fills up with snow cause it cant fall thru the ports. My 300lx is pretty noticeable compared to the 2.75 i took off.

Yeah my 24 Freeride 146 with the 15 wide 2.5 gets so full. Good luck adjusting the suspension clickers mid ride. They need ports eh. Also helps for cooling to allow snow to flick up on the rad.

Ya its pretty noticeable haha does the 2.5 not have porting like a 3” doo track? I wonder why they went away from it

They would have to build something more reliable first. far too many recalls and other quality crap
