2025 Rumors

So... 2026. Think Poo comes out with a new chassis (plastics mostly) for 2026 trail sleds? Then follow in the mountains for 2027? We're in the 5th year of Matryx now. Time flew by.

Seems like they added stuff every single year though.

I bet with the steep drop in powersports sales they stretch the "refined chassis" a few extra years, and maybe do a facelift on the plastics if anything at all.

I mean, at the point it's not like they're going to sell a ton of new $25k sleds. They may as well stretch it out and wait for the economy to improve.

BNG. Maybe roll some of the 9R/Boost only features down model.

Feels like we are in the era of dimenishing returns on new designs. Companies can skirt that by adding a ton of new features and upping the price. Unfortunately polaris is also already punching too high there to keep growing cost. Who wants a 35k sled that’s worth 14 in a year?

I just don’t see the Pro Ride to Axys improvement happening again without a radical design change. Matryx was fairly subtle on the ride feel improvement front already

I dont think they will put out much if ANY changes...they need to perfect what they have before making new...Plus most of the engineers who worked and built prototypes are not at Polaris anymore...been released....what you have right now will be what you have on 2027 I feel....Polaris lost 1 Billion last year, hard to get money to develop anything new...Jus like cars and trucks, no real changed in 5 years then new model...

BNG and some minor tweaks here and there for 2026..................Nothing big until at least 2027 is my guess as well.

Everything developed and planned for release is scheduled out years in advance though.

Seems like at least one or 2 years of releases would be in the pipeline at the time of a downturn.
For sure - this is the entire reason the Catalyst exists. They have to be working on any next gen chassis nearly as soon as the previous comes out.

Yes, the engineers are working 5-7y ahead of when products are released to consumers.

But the question remains, when they release the updates to chassis, engine, etc. That's a calculated decision based on supply/demand and of course their ability to price it in a way that will be compelling to customers. Lots of considerations.

yup .. much easier to just sit on a new development than to roll it out in down year. BNG this year is my guess

I would say BNG unless doo does something that poo can respond to with tech that is ready to go, but won't be released unless pushed to do so.

Rumors are 9boost. Who knows, but their riders certainly are promoting that build a lot.

Gotta find a way to make a 25k sled before ttl

Zero I would say. Maybe switchback assault.
Yea i dont know if it would be of any use to the mountain side. Trail guys love it but thats clearly a different world lol even factory iqs/lockout option would be cool, the cats have had it for years.

Honestly a premium fox option with lockout seems like a win and easy way to drive up price. The fact they haven’t done it means they are getting walker evan’s crap for pennies on the dollar

Dynamix as a system seems like it would have less benefit than just a track shock handlebar lockout for mtn riding

Yea i think it would be easier when snowchecking, pay for it all at once instead of buying iqs after. If its the same price for the option itll be a wash tho

Polaris owns Walker Evans, so they're likely way cheaper than any other option. It would still be cool to have more options if you snowcheck though.

With the uncertainty surrounding Cat, Fox might be looking for another brand to offer their shocks from the factory.
