2023 cat. Where is it?

Seeing that factory boost is becoming a thing, what do you think a Blast Limited would be like on pump gas boost? Might be a little much for new kiddos, but I feel like it would be a sweet wife/GF machine.
I can't imagine why anybody would do this other than just kinda fun or whatever. If you like the blast, but just want it to have a little more power, then maybe clutch weights maybe gear down. If you like the blast but want it to have quite a bit more power, then the Polaris 650 146 Khaos Slash is unquestionably the perfect sled to move up to.

I was chasing my kid most of the day so maybe I'm recalling incorrectly, but didn't some company have a turbo Blast at Hay Days this year?

The point would be to maintain 600 level power at elevation in a slightly smaller feeling chassis. Going up to a 650 Khaos it's back up to the same chassis size as a 800-900. Even if it's the same effort to ride the perception of a smaller machine goes a long way for people to get them to try things. My GF looked at my Alpha and was terrified of it because it looked big and intimidating. Had a 1980 Yamaha 540 sitting next to it and she instantly wanted to ride that because it was smaller.

The smaller 400 on boost might be the same static weight as a 600/650 engine, but should still feel lighter handling because of reduced gyroscopic forces in the engine. Real downside would be cost.

I hope so for the Cat loyalists. I have to say, you guys (and gals) are some of the most patient group of people I know. You folks deserve something great for keeping Cat going. Textron has the ability to provide something great, I hope they do.

An April 19th release isn’t a good time to sell snocheck only sleds. I’ve been on cat for 4 years, I have 4 other doos in the garage. I ordered a new turbo doo for 23. Come on arctic cat!

Maybe Cat plans a very limited release of some new stuff, which is why they are really waiting so long to announce their 2023 sleds. They want to let riders know Cat is not dead and get people pumped for a full release of the new stuff for the 2024 models?

The tough part for the consumer is do you pass on Doo and Polaris on the HOPE that what cat brings to the table is super cool???? I am riding what I got one more year, partly because I couldn’t make up my mind.

That would be great if they released something but it still shows the genius of cat marketing. They have already lost sales to doo and polaris that they might have gotten. If they come with something for april it was stupid on their part for not letting people know earlier. What i think is they don't come with something and that is stupid. Definitely need to fire some people and get a change in leadership

+1 on that. They need young blood in there and if they are willing to spend they can be in competition with in the next few years (if they can make it through and if it snows...)

Or they could just ignore Terrys impatience.

Guys had deposits on most available poos and doos before they were even released…..

I know plenty of cat guys happily waiting with their deposits as well.

Those are so yesterday. What were they thinking building extra 22’s. DsmbSses
Fire all of them!!!

You know I'll be honest, after my first season and a few bad wrecks that ended in nagging injuries and about 2k in damage. I agree with most that I now need a 23 and a turbo. Yes mine has less than 400 miles on it but those are none turbo so I'd have less than a 1k on it otherwise (or be dead probably)
Is it too late to snowcheck.....lol

Man i can't believe you disagree.
They didn't have deposits on most available poos and doos. That is another excuse for underachieving. My buddy is a doo dealer. He got 129 sleds. No problem getting anything. I ordered a lynx no problem. My other buddy had his 9rs taken. Me being one of them . He had a boost available for a minute. Yes, you had to be quick on those but they were obtainable. 850s you can get.
Another thing, your handful of guys with deposits don't keep the doors open.
I get Idaho has always been cat country. We used to work in victor and sled with the kincaids, hills and Hibberts. Just disagree on how to run a company.

Just called the dealer and it sounds like there's nobody in the warranty department in their river. Nobody to process the claim. nobody to send the parts, and no parts made to send.
What a joke
The other alpha I towed off the MTN over a month before mine is still sitting there too, waiting for parts that don't exist.
Can't wait to get it back and sell it.

So you’ve seen bankruptcy filings on cat because they waited a little bit?
Definitely need to fire everyone.

Cats building the next chassis.
It’s ok to wait bit.

Do you trash your car manufacturers for not releasing an entirely new car every x years?

Hell, I can’t even figure out why this is such a special year that you think the world ends with no new chassis.
