Conditions

We are just getting back to normal after having 57 snowkiters stay at the Lodge for a week!

The 8-9" we received the other day has made for some great riding. I have heard nothing but positive reports from folks that come here regularly, as well as a few locals. There are still some just-hidden rocks out there, but they are slowly being consumed by the fresh powder we have gotten each week.

Our snow-stick is at 29" and holding.

Just has your sign says call the wambulance and get over your self. Its the mountains not the 5 star resort your hoping for stay in Billings or move closer so you can get the report you so badly want. Unless you come down during the week your stuck with what ever snow you get for the weekend not hard to figure out, not rocket science here.

As I stated, my rant is over. No need to get snide. I'm sorry I shared my experiences and thoughts on this forum, silly me thought that is what it was for. I'm sorry I asked for better treatment from a business than I recently received, I'm sorry I asked for something that is being advertised, but not done, to actually be done as advertised. And I'm sorry that I ask for something that was being done, that we all got used to being done, but its not being done now (WHC, it's funny no one has jumped me for calling them out) to be done again. It was cheap, I got 'Mow and Braapp to help me out and haul me away. They are my backup Wambulance drivers when I need a break serving Snowesters in distress!!

I went up to the south side yesterday. I didn't trust what snotel was reporting. Snotel is right the south side is very bare. The bottoms and edges of the trees have about 20 inches in them. The ridge tops where bare. Not good but it was riding none the less.

Yes! Road is completely snow covered from Crystal Creek Rest Area.

Same thing could be said for all the bi%$&ing that came from people regarding my posts. But, same thing seems to happen in this particular thread all the time. Last year if you went up to the Horns and found crap snow and came back and posted that you found crap snow, then you got flamed and told you needed to get off the trail bla, bla, bla. Then this year, before there was even ride able snow people were complaining because we were joking and posting and having fun and weren't taking this thread seriously and staying on topic. Then, because of differing opinions this thread blows up once again. It's clear that you can only post about epic snow, and great service experiences in this thread otherwise it turns into a warzone. The mods may as well just delete this thread and any other one ever titled Bighorns snow conditions hereafter.

Had a great weekend, the snow show was a blast!

The snow honestly surprised me, for this time of year it was pretty good. Still lots of rocks and stumps but the pockets in the trees were fun!
