Forecast is looking better with cold temps (real cold for this time of year) and possibly 5" today and another 5" tomorrow. Bring it on! Snotel rose 2" yesterday.

new snow everywhere, I would say about a foot of fresh snow, some are over a foot of snow somewhere in the woods but windy today.

we didnt go that far because we had 4 rookies in our group (slowed us down!!!) lol We went to lake marie and back to greenrock. never went to north. I thought it was a foot of snow but I was wrong. its above my ankles. a half foot, but good enough for boondocking, I did like 5 times on where good snow are. suppose to be better day tomorrow so we can try to go far north.

Guys, got a question. We are heading out tomorrow morning from N. Illinois. We were planning to take I 80 out but with the storm rolling in, that looks like a mess. So, we are gonna run I 90 out through SD. My question is, it looks like you drop off I 90 on 79 and jog back and forth southbound. When you get to I 25 running south, are we better off to follow that into Cheyenne and get back on 80 or do you guys run 34 across? Also, has anyone run 20 across Iowa and Nebraska. Seems like a little shorter run than going up to 90.

We are heading to Ten Mile Inn (just east of Saratoga)

highway 20 is probably the best choice with the weather on i80

Look at WOWT, KETV or Action 3 for weather. Those are the local weather stations for the Omaha area. They are only talking 2-3" here in Omaha/Council Bluffs and that won't happen till Sat going into Sun. 3-6" will be Omaha south and closer to the Nebraska/Kansas border.

I would run I80 and not worry about it.

Just about 8 to 10"s new wherever we went today. Denver stations are calling for more overnight, we'll see, I have my doubts.

just about same snow from yesterday but all cover the tracks when we rode from greenrock this morning. we went north of rocky mountain, good snow in the woods.
heading home tomorrow morning.

got up at 5:30 this morning and the ground has about 2 inch of new snow in centennial.. could be another day with new snow up in the mountain today. I wish I could stay there for one more day but we got to go back home. nasty weather in west nebraska this morning. almost got lost control.

We are coming from Chicago area, went north/90 because of the weather.. All clear in the north so far, heading down to ten mile from rapid city in the am, hope you left us some snow

I think we just passed you coming back from that way going the other way. 3 trucks? I would go down through Hot Springs - Lusk - Orin Junction-Wheatland-Laramie is the way we go and we live here in SD. Have fun and ride safe.
