2012/13 Snowy Range snow conditions

tmk- I think this is what you'd need to use. Upload the GPX file here and select KML or KMZ as output and see what happens.

OK - I will need some time to clean up all my personal stuff (house, cabin, friends places, etc.) - then I'll see what I can do with it.

OK - here is a file that might work for what you are trying to do.

This is a .kml file (same deal as before - download the "pdf" it and change the extension to .kml so you can open it in google earth)

I don't know how accurate some of these items are (some of this was given to me in a GPX file a few years ago and then I added points in), so it would be nice if others can verify and provide corrections as necessary.

All right! Got the approximate locations of certain trails loaded onto the map. I separated out the waypoints for now and will add in certain ones just so the map doesn't get too cluttered. Note that these are not all the trails up there, just certain ones that tmk offered to me. If anyone else has any more KML/KMZ files feel free to let me know and I will try and add them in.

An important note: these trails and landmarks are APPROXIMATE and useful for reference only on the internet. Please refer to the official trail map when riding.

Thanks again to tmk50 for putting this file together for me!

EDIT: Here's the Google Maps link again for anyone who may have missed the original post:

Anybody want to ride this saturday?? Im in Fort Collins, new to the area, just got a sled and am dying to get out and ride. Don't want to go by myself though. Looks like the potential for a few inches during and before saturday. I know there is little snow up there, Even if its just a road ride, I would love to get out, test the new sled and just breath some fresh air. PM me, or call or text me at 262 689-6644.

Thanks
Tom

Hopefully it will keep snowing and not get to 50 degrees this time fingers r crossed.

so how about a local or someone close by chime in and give a weather update and snow total we can all lookat web cams and weather sites,

As of 2pm today we've had about 4" to 6" here at the house and still snowing. S'posed to keep it up until around midnight .Wasn't too windy this morn so it came down nicely, of course that's changing now and the snow's moving sideways.
Saw a couple of trailers headed up, I'll probably go up Monday to see what Ma Nature has left us.
