Final snow count

1 ft is the total...it has stopped now and it is 18 degrees with no wind.

Understand Orange2...we're not for everyone for overnight stays. We do love having people stop by for lunch, fuel or food or just to get warm and watch a game on tv though so next time you are up this way stop in and say hi. Always nice to meet a fellow sledder.

Be up to see ya

Corey we will be up to see you this week-end. Prolly Saturday if all works out and if not we will come up Sunday. Hope you get more this week. Chad

We are coming out next week, have a guy renting a sled so we are staying at elk so he can get a sled from bear. We will stop in for sure.

Went up today rode bull creek and around bear. Still pretty bare everywhere. We did find snow in spots that was over the windshield but few and far between and no base in those areas so u can feel everything under the snow. New xm shows the result of hidden rocks . Snow was starting to set up and get wet around noon. really warm up there today but all in all fun ride.

We will be heading up tomorrow night, plan on riding over to High Country Lodge for a visit. My son has never been there so he wants to see it. I will post how the snow is friday night.

That's not what I want to hear, now I see next week is supposed to be warm. Oh well, still better than being in Iowa looking at dirt

At least the warmth will setup the top foot or so and help cover up all the sugar snow we have for a base.

Take him up to bucking mule falls while your up there, pretty neat to see. Kind of like a mini grand canyon

We rode yesterday from bear to highcountry stayed in the trees and crick bottoms. The snow was over the hood most of the day in the trees off of h trail. Out by high contry lodge all the meadows are waist deep. We had to use the bungie a few time so its good riding you just have to look for the snow. Unfortunately the highway back is miserable and really thin. Good day trip but probally wouldnt drive 700 miles to ride especially if you like highmarking because most of the snow has blown in the bottoms and most of the hills are thin.

Well I am leaving turbo home and bringing a doo with 3 144 or less sleds with rookie mountain riders so we will still have fun. My buddy has a plane so he and another guy are flying to Sheridan where we will pick them up. Only two of us of the 6 coming have a lot of mountain experience so its probably good it's not too deep for the rookies

One of the guys already asked if we could trail ride so he could just see the scenery, I told him he will see plenty but it won't be from a goddam trail lol

Sounds good! If you like Bud Light and Jack Daniels you are in luck. If not, try the cabin down the hill :bounce:

General update

Howdy,

No new snow since the 14th. Found a meadow yesterday right off trail L with 5 ft of untouched snow. Good thing I had someone with me to make tracks or I wouldn't have made it out. Still great meadows near Bucking Mule Falls that are untouched. Took trail to them but didn't want to cross creek on short track. 20% chance of snow tomorrow night. Winds are light. Got up to 45 yesterday and sunny. Clear skies again today. New website is up and running and I am posting weather updates on it...www.wyhighcountry.net. Under the catalog tab is where we are placing our deals and specials. Keep doing the snow dance.
