Big thanks to Corey of HighCountry for showing us around and running back to grab a BFH to beat the Dragon back into shape! Had a great time and our next trip to the Big Horns will be booked at HighCountry:face-icon-small-coo

Visitors

Had visitors from Laurel, Billings, Park City and flat lands of North Dakota come by today. Along with staff and family from Bear Lodge. All great people and all had fun in the snow and fresh areas since our 11 inches on Tuesday. Still plenty of untouched stuff up this way. 3 kids ages 5-11 were with the groups on their own sleds. I went to Bear Lodge today and got air for the first time! Totally an accident and learned you do not lean back too far as you are going airborne because the sled will tilt up and land on the back of the track!! LOL:face-icon-small-sho Fun though and no damage. No snow storms expected till monday-tuesday. Rooms still available to book. This snowmobiling stuff is fun!

Snow conditions

I guess you could say we are building a good base....winds are minimal...sun as been out for 2 days and up to 30. 11 people came by yesterday from Elk View and spent the day over here. They found plenty of snow to play in. Rooms and cabins still vacant. A few clouds hanging overhead this morning and it's 7 degree's.

Have cabins at arrowhead for the winter. Cabins 19&20. Stop by and say hello. Trail to bear is good. Trail to Owens creek is good. Snow doubles at Tie Flume campground. 24-36". Trail S to the highway is excellent. No traffic. Plent of opportunities to explore.

We don't trail ride but the snow is very thin right now. Headed to Granite tomorrow and will report. Trail S would be good choice for some boondocking. right now.

Hey Skunk let us know how the riding is, I have a place at Arrowhead also and am going up next weekend.

Snow out of Granite is good. Trails are excellent. We spent the afternoon in behind woodchuck. We were in 40-48" in the trees. 24-36" in the main areas. There are still places untouched but they are getting far between. We need snow!

Friday rode up Willow Creek, S. Fork of Owens Creek, dropped out at Antelope Butte, found pockets here and there, no untouched, had to be pretty cautious.
Saturday trailered down to Ranger Creek Parking lot and rode back in behind Snoshoe, snow was better but you can't trust the rocks being gone. Son was riding my sled and found a rock, ripped end cap off rail, speared track and tore the track in half, finished out the day towing sled out on the rails.:face-icon-small-fro
Be back when there's a couple more feet on the ground .

Agree on the rocks. They are everywhere. Sorry to hear about the carnage. When we get 2 feet of snow it will be great riding. Sposed to snow this week. This fat guy is dancin :bounce::bounce::bounce:

Yeah, I see that weather comimg in next Thursday. Will be watching from work.:face-icon-small-fro
Looks like my next days off are gonna be working on sleds, hope it piles up, may have to learn how to swap a track on an XP chassis in a hurry.:face-icon-small-win

Found some great snow on the Lovell side on Saturday. Untouched powder in places, but too much throttle or hard carving and you could feel down to the ground. Lots of rocks and stumps were hit. They need a couple more feet before it will be great.

Cory from WY High Country and his wife were wonderful hosts for a midday beverage. What a gorgeous lodge (we will be booking our stay as soon as it snows!)

Ouch, what kind of carnage did that cause. My son was in about the same position when I saw him unload.
Spent most of last night and half of today chasing parts, still don't have a track coming, did finally spot my bent rails this morning, got a pair coming from IceAge.:face-icon-small-dis:face-icon-small-ton

Flurries

Flurries started about 3 am this morning. Yes, up that early....nothing to do and too much stress to sleep. Our lodge only has 38 pillows available between the 6 lodge rooms and 5 cabins so don't wait too late to book or make reservations. Better to have them and cancel than not have them at all. Winds picked up a little....it's now 5 degree's.

Lost my trailer ramp on the 30th somewhere from bear lodge parking lot to Sheridan. Anyone find one?
