2011/12 Togwotee snow conditions

So I guess another storm flop, far, far cry from 20 30 inches. How could they be 90% wrong?... AGAIN
no kidding ...weather man suck :lie:....so depressing..its suposed to pick back up around 1 AM..they say 1"-3" tomarrow and 3"-5" tomarrow nite..then there just showing 70% chance of snow for saturday too but no estimates for how much on sat..if they could just be rite this time ..another 8" could help salvage this storm a lil...lets hope for the best and pray it dumps more on its last leg

So how much snow did they get in tog? Nooa was saying up to 2' or more from tuesday night to tonight and maybe 1' by tomarrow night.
Looked at snotel and that says 4" sents tue, and the nooa snowfall analysis show no snow in wy.
What do you guy see out there.

snotel shows 1" yesterday, 3" today.... A FAR CRY FROM 30". the last time i looked at brooks cam and togs cam today it was bluebird sunny.

reminds me of chicken little.... the sky is falling, the sky is falling.

NOT!

Unfortunately the snow has stopped for now
Got about 5" -6"

I was just curious as to if your snowmobile is ever a quarter mile from the highway? Ive been riding back country for this season on togwotee pass...and yes and some areas have been seasonally thin...but if you know the area there is great snow to be found....today was over the hood a quarter mile from the lodge...your snowfall reports are contradicting to a person that rides togwotee pass (myself) everyday.

Thank God.... i couldnt belive it when he said there was an average of 15 inches on the pass when snotel was reading 29 at the time..i knew there had to be snow hiding out there...now its showing 37 with more to come..those pictures below just settled my fears for my trip on saturday:thumb:

Its nice to get snow reports from locals however your cup is always half empty. Get out of your truck and get on your sled and go down a less traveled area and you will see snow. Not as much as last year at this time but good rideable snow...

I'm a guide at Crooked Creek Guest Ranch which is south of Togwotee just outside Dubois. We have been getting snow for the last two days with another 12" predicted before tomorrow night. It has been very windy so most of the peaks are bare but, all of the new snow is in the trees and valleys. We are full for the holiday weekend and have been getting good reports from our guests on snow conditions.
