2011/12 Togwotee snow conditions

Thats at togwotee lodge. Get out away up high it is there. DEEEP! My buddies been there all week, said it has been snowing nonstop with 4+ feet fresh is alot of areas.

There is NOT 4 feet of FRESH. Might be 4 feet of soft stuff but not FRESH, got into an area today, real close to the divide where there was probably 2 feet of fresh. Sunny for most of the day, I would say we ended up with about 16" of new at the lodge. Riding is excellent, some of the best i've ever had, you will not be dissapointed if you are heading out soon. It is deep! Not much for a base though, but theres enough that you dont really have to worry about stumps or rocks.

Ya right call the desk and ask and theyll tell you 6' come on out. Hopefully enough to come over the hood when we get there on thurs.

Just need to make a reservation in March is all. Would rather talk to someone there, and not the corporate number. Going in March, regardless of snow depth. LOL.

Been dealing with some family stuff, so I haven't been out in a while. Riding the Greys on Friday and Togwotee maybe Sat or Sun. Will give an update.

Lots of Avy's though. Gonna stay off the steep stuff.

Was warm after the storm... Snow is ok. Bought 8in of fluff on top of a 2 foot slab. 3ft of sugar under that. We have found good riding. But you have to look for it.

Started snowing today... Still snowing hard. Lookiing like at least 2 ft out of this one. Up here till Sun... Should be perfect Fri & Sat. Snow is a little wet. But should be good powder till Sun..........

Snow in togwotee has been excellent. Rode since last friday many stucks. But the xp didn't make it (driveshaft bearing blew @ 1200mi) the full 8 days for the third year in a row, thinking about going to the darkside, rode with a pro 155 which was better on fuel and still running, and just as fun if not funner to ride.
