2011/12 Togwotee snow conditions

Bad storm. Over 2 1/2 feet south of town where I live so far. I heard some areas north, like Togwotee have had over 40-45 inches in some places. A little lull right now. New forecast is for a total of 80 inches by Sunday morning. Roads are bad, avalanche danger high to extreme. Road up and over Togwotee treacherous. Like I said, if you are planning to come, wait a few days for things to settle down. Not much fun riding in a full on blizzard.

Going to be epic when it does finally settle down.

A little lull. Snowfall ranged from 40-60 inches in the mountains out of this first round. Another 1-3 feet forecast through Sunday starting tonight.

Im out here now, and they got at least 50" of new snow in most of the meadows. Riding was amazing today

At Togwotee Mountain Lodge, rode 2 days so far, just got back in. Bout 10-18" of NEW snow, not sure where you guys are getting your numbers of 40"+... the old snow plus the new has made for over the hood conditions. Anywhere from 3-7' of total snow. Most places are about 5'

Thats at togwotee lodge. Get out away up high it is there. DEEEP! My buddies been there all week, said it has been snowing nonstop with 4+ feet fresh is alot of areas.
