2011/12 Big Horns North/South snow conditions

yesterday I'm not sure of the correct name it was the pull off about 2 miles from The Ski Lodge, we head north through the trees about 2 miles and it opened up, Today we went behind Deer Haven down P and D trails and found some pretty decent stuff as well, lots of guys were up there today though!

Sounds kind of like baby wagon area maybe. Good to hear there is good snow in there havent been up the south side this year, hoping to go after another good storm maybe.

Were coming out this Friday and Sat. to Bearlodge, just wanted to know if any local guys would want to ride with us? We have been out there alot, but I am sure there are better places to ride that we have never been. Just wanted to put it out there:face-icon-small-coo

Thanks, Dallas

Here is a video from today at the south side, snowed all day, deep deep, Awesome day didn't not hit anything and there is a good base starting up there. Nothing crazy in the video, that's all I got on my helmet cam cause I ran out of card space!!! Enjoy

Hate to argue with that statement, but there is no base whatsoever. 3-4ft of fluff then frozen ground. They are in need of some major depth! So much stuff to hit still.

Depending on where you go that statement may be true, I agree they do need snow, but I said that base is building, still needs some improvement!!

Sunday

It was deepest all season, just a great day of riding.

Ya that sounds good, we will have room in our trailer, so that wouldn't be a problem, i don't think this weekend, but maybe next I will let you know!

Rode saturday and had alot of fun headed to cooke this week and weekend I'll post pics of saturdays ride soon

Meadowlark reported 3 FEET as of this evening. (Take it for what its worth) but it is snowing good up there, best storm of the year so far. Bad news is that US 14 and US 16 are both closed as of 10:30 when i looked and black ice advisory's all over this part of the state! So drive safe everyone!

Over the last two days:

Bone springs: +23''

Bald Mountain: +18''

Powder River: +21''

Wow is all i can say, wish the weekend would hurry up and get here!

Sounds like this weekend is gonna be epic. When exactly is the storm suppose to clear off? and or the road opening back up

Well according to the NWS, it is suppose to taper off by tomorrow. But then there are chances of snow saturday and sunday, 50 and 60% chances. As far as the road, they were hoping today, but it may not happen so maybe tomorrow. US 14 and US 16 are still closed and the interstate between buffalo and sheridan is closed now as well. Calling for some more snow and wind in sheridan through tomorrow.
