2011/12 Big Horns North/South snow conditions

We just got to Bear Lodge about an hour ago. Pulled the sleds off the trailer and ripped around in the meadow by the lodge, think the sleds are ready to go. I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of shape, so I'm expecting to take a beating tomorrow.

you gotta post snow conditions tomarrow. goin out on jan 5th hope the snow is ****in spectacular, but really dont care i need to ride something somewhere.
anyone else goin out the 5th through the 8th will be up at bear with group of 4 or 5.
also is the good snow west of bear and north or south?

We spoke with some people at Arrowhead Lodge, and according to them, the better snow is to the south. There's not a lot yet, but we'll see if we find any good powder off the trails tomorrow. We'll probably be in the meadows right off the trail all day tomorrow. If things go well enough we'll do some boondocking.
Was up on monday and the snow had settled a lot, i bet christmas was awesome. Best snow i found was in the trees over by bone springs and spring creek. Everywhere we went was really tracked up so new snow is needed. There are rocks and stumps out there, just got to be careful and use the round thing between your shoulders 
The tops of the ridges and some of the hills are pretty windblown and kinda hard.
Suppose to snow this week, up to a foot in the forcast now. Here are some pics... Guess someone forgot to get their hunting stuff out before it snowed!

Yup, yup i got the same story from someone else i talked to, sounds more like insurance fraud to me lol. Wonder why they just left them there?
I guess the motels in sheridan have quite a few sleds in the parking lots, so im guessing the holiday weekend is going to be a busy one. Be safe and save some untracked pow for me!
Any reports on the SOUTH SIDE, Is Meadowlark resort still there? Or Deer haven?..Havent been over that way for years, ANY REPORTS?
Abandon atv's and trailer.... Can anybody get me (PM IT TO ME) a license #.. Or Vin # of these machines or trailer???? I dont want to be a JACKWAGON..But to just leave them and expect an insurance check?? Stupid S)&@VABIEETCH.....A few of these people make it soooo difficult for the rest of us...We loose enough riding land the way it is..And we also pay enough for Insurance without people like this involved..And "YES" I am from Mn.. and embarrassed that one of ours would do this?????There has to be more to the story?

We took trail P south from Bear Lodge down to E and headed up into the trees by Battle Park. There's 5-6' of snow up in the trees in that area. Otherwise, most of the powder we found was 3-4'. The Viper blew up early in the day so we basically drove 1200 miles round-trip for about 60 miles of riding.

heard they got snow did you leave before it? was it tracked up down south?
i drove by them twice allready so they arent exactly hiding, if they are left for dead ill take em!! ill split em with you to haha
Yeah, im guessing that since they are just leaving them there they are pretty much a donation to whoever wants to take them out, right? There was like a propane bottle on the 4 wheeler trailer too, guess they didnt even want the smaller items... So i guess how are we going to get it all out? 
Well I was kind of kidding I wouldn't touch them either unless I knew it was safe... But anyways didn't make it up today because this morning was a blizzard. Anybody have any report on how it is?
