It's getting a little beat up after 2500 kms in the trees but this is what I used. I'l just make another. It is bent and cut out of stainless steel, the stuff that you stick on your truck. The top goes under the bolt and the bottom is held on with velcro so it can pull away without damage.

went through the pdi on my new 154x yesterday and my dealer told me to try that if I was worried about it at all. he also told me to snip a few loops off the spring that controls when the internal bypass air intake will activate, for when this filter gets plugged. he said having it open a little easier won't be a bad thing, instead of waiting until you are already losing power to have the bypass open. seemed like good advice, I haven't done anything to it yet except sit on it for a good hour and ponder life haha.

Is the little bypass valve still inline with the clutches? The '08s were and if by some strange chance your belt frags on you while the bypass valve is sucking in air, it also sucks if belt debris.

I had to pull the screen off to clean a bunch of belt fuzz out of the air box and from around the horns.
