Wilderness poachers?

These guys are just doing what we will all have to do in 5 years. The other side isn't going to stop whether we self police or not. They want it all locked up. It's not worth it to me to ride the wilderness yet and pay fines and not be able to get government jobs but I can tell you right now if we get locked out of 1 more favorite riding area we will be taking all of them back and seeing if they can catch us.
One thing to remember that sometimes gets lost in these types of discussions is that we need to be responsible snowmobilers in the eyes of the FS. It is true that some non-motorized users won't care no matter what we do, but the group that makes the decisions is the FS.

As newtrout has stated, the FS is recognizing the efforts made by snowmobilers to combat the wilderness issue. Washington and the I-90 area is lucky to have a FS representative that acknowledges these efforts and is interested in helping snowmobilers with the appropriate tools and knowledge to go after some of these trespassers.

Saaaaallllllluuuuutttttteeeeee.....To Yammadog and the others for being responsible stand up people. Self policing is going to be the only way motorized use in any form will have a future. We better all get in the game and be willing to take a hit to do the right thing. Motorized life is never going to be "like in the good 'ol days" as so many want to cling on to. The folks who want us removed are well funded, well educated, well respresented warriors who are working every single day to see motorized use removed. They think in 10-20 year time frames, they have the patience for a death by a thousand cuts, they are out there all day every day working to abolish our motorized sports of choice.

WHY THE F WOULD WE DO ANYTHING TO ASSIST IN THIS EFFORT.....

Today we are still some what gate keepers of our own gate. If we choose to sit silent as this type of thing goes on, or be tolerant because "he's a pretty good guy though" then we have to be willing to shout out loud that we are locking our own gates because we have no balls. I am glad to see so many that are not willing to be in that position.

On a personal agenda I get pretty fired up about these types of abuses based on the many trips to DC, the many trips to Olympia, the many meetings with FS & other agencies, the many meetings with the public, and all the cost, time, and sacrifice that it takes to try to make an impact to preserve motorized use in todays world that I am willing to put out just to see some one make it all worth chit in one selfish move.

I wonder how many public/agency meetings the riders in question have ever attended, or how many public comments they have ever submitted, or how much they donate to SAWS, BRC, WSSA, etc. if they are unable/unwilling to do any of those? I bet we all know that answer.

I could go on and on but I notice my jaws are sore just from typing this so I will recognize that as a trigger point. lol.

Congrats again to Yammadog & Crew for having balls and values. It is really appreciated and will be the only way we will be able to continue. Rant Over. EW

Now lets see who knows these rigs----

I want to hear the "call out" happen ---step up and call them out those who know them!!!

If it is who I think it is---I will plaster their name/s all over the place.

Policeing---we are still just talk with some pictures---

So all this talk and still no names? How is this gonna work if you don't name the people?

This kind of blatant disregard needs to stop NOW and the only way is to name them. We are loosing land quickly and soon will have nowhere to ride.

I'm really surprised NOONE knows these trucks so far.

The rest is a bunch of ****.

I'm all for responsible sledding and constantly getting on people to pick up their garbage and be respectful to the areas and I also agree that these guys need to be educated about the possible further problems they are causing for those of us that do try and fight to keep areas open. I'm just saying there shouldn't be a big witch hunt to get these guys turned over to the authorities. Catch them and educate them.

Also If I were you I would ask them to teach you all they know about avoiding the law because I guarantee it is where we are all headed.

Not to pick on Jakey-Boy but this post here ^^ is the exact reason why land use issues should stay with their respective locales on the boards. For those of you outside of our area, this is an area that we are in the fight of our life for right now. The other side (people like the WMC) are using this exact location of wilderness intrusion and the same people that are intruding as their main reason to add a non-motorized buffer to the wilderness.

Believe me Jakey, some (most) of theses guys know the boundaries and don't care. Most of these guys are very local to the area. More so than alot of us are. Meaning 20-30 minutes unlike the hour and change for the rest of us. I recognize at least 3 of these rigs at this areas sno-parks all the time. Believe me, they are educated on the rules and areas but don't care.

I used to side with them thinking the same thing, oh we are narcing them off, things like this. Well this isn't your high school buddy getting pulled into the principals office for smoking a cigarette or egging cars.

This is one of the last partial alpine areas we have left to ride in this state.

Stop

Do not defend this behavior,,, as far as catching them someone outside would have to be in the group.. As far as who is taking away what,, sooner or later none of this is going to matter. Take your dislike for the left and focus it on defending the thing you like to do.. These people will stop at nothing,,they are using video against you all now all they have to do is go to you tube..

Agreed. I want to see the names posted. Fordman over on the other site is saying he will post them soon.

And I am moving the names here!! We need to let these people know it is NOT acceptable by their fellow riders and must end!!

Next time you want to ride on to Ingalls Lake, do it on a pair of skis... Not your sleds. Thanks guys... Really make us all look good here. F-ing idiots.

Check his Job Description: We buy large tracts of undeveloped land usually from timber companies, but we also buy smaller, privately owned acreages. I'm involved in many phases of the development process from start to finish. I research new properties to acquire, determine the highest and best use, and analyze if the acquisition makes sense for our development, growth and profitability goals. Then I'm able to negotiate the deal and follow through with the acquisition until closing.

Thats pretty F'ng Sad.

Thanks for this info---I have sent him a e-mail as follows:

Noel

Your rig was spotted up at NF Teanaway and the tracks from your riding group going right into the wilderness--to let you know--We the rest of the snowmobilers do not appreciatte this--trying to help the green tree huggers close more riding area to us law abiding riders is not right---Your info has been put out on 2 different sledding websites---this type of behavior is not being accepted by the other riders anymore !!!

I am one that would like to ride that area as well---but do not because it is agianst the law, plus it is going to affect more than just me--but will cause all of us to lose the right to ride the area around this wilderness --think you can get onboard?? It would be appreciatted by the rest of the riders out there.

Thanks

Paul Walser

I would expect more to fly as well !! Time to call these guys to the mat !!!
