What are you guys pulling your sleds/trailers with?

I got an 04' Dodge Ram 2500 CTD. 6" lift and 37 BFG A/Ts. Its got an AFE air intake, MBRP cool duals exhaust, Isspro gauges and a diablosport predator programmer. Works perfect with the sled deck (air bags in the rear are a plus too:cool:)

Nice ride!! It looks better than mine and I sell auto accessories. I want to lift mine but I've already crushed my bed once pulling my fifth wheel camper. Bullydog programmer, Ultra wheels, and a little chrome. COMING SOON long bed conversion!!!

If money is tight look for a 2000 F250 shortbox crewcab. The 2000 year has forged rods which is great when you start to add on the mods later. The 7.3 diesel is a long life motor that should run to 250,000 miles. Look for a clean truck with around 100k to keep the price down. You can find these trucks for around 10k and have a nice low payment. Happy Hunting.

this was my daily driver/tow rig until about 5 months ago. '71 3/4 ton with slightly built and cammed up 350 and 4 speed. blast to drive.

the 8.1 is a stout truck and im pretty sure it gets a few more mpgs than the ol' 71, but it dont feel as mean or near as fun to drive. i know the 8.1 will handle the load better but im afraid of whats gonna happen if i get up sleddin and the lot aint plowed yet, these new fangled rigs dont dig like the ol beaters. i had to use the ol girl to pull a rig or two out last winter when the yayhoo that plows the lot didnt get up there in the morning. i wish i could afford to keep both registered and legal to drive, makes me sad seein my baby just sittin there collecting dust.:(

I'll pay ya 50 bucks too drive that up Fairview canyon !!
Ummm....remember your talking to a flatlander here, I pucker up in a 35 mph wind crossing Mackinaw bridge! No canyons for this rig. Get the trailer paid for and it's back to a pickup for me, Tahoe has plenty of balls but not enough wheelbase and coil sprung in the rear. No payment book tho!:D

Your 71 is awesome. Wish I had some spare dough so I could offer to take it off your hands. :D

Here's my setup. 2003 Chevy Avalanche and a 2005 United 23', 7' wide.
We have put about 7,000 miles on this setup over the last two winters and it has worked great.

Mega Death.......Man that's a goodlooking pad mount power transformer!
should deliver some good clean voltage for dwelling. Looks like a 97.5 Power Factor Model with a 1.732% High Leg.

Sweet !

If I am just heading to the cabin or somewhere close.

I just put my sled on my ATV trailer and hook it up to my 06 Grand Prix haha.

Can't even tell it is back there and I still get 23 MPG.

I tow my 4 wheeler back and forth to the cabin every weekend.
