And the excuses start flying already :D Dont know how much droppin will happen this week until we get some snow ! Scared the daylights outta me yesterday climbin in these spring conditions. Climbed one chute, 15' from the top dug in, only way down was ropes and the trench i made getting up there !

so hows the weather looking for this next week. me and some buddies are comming sledding feb. 28th and 29th at valemount. whats the avalanch risk there? i know what it says online but i'm curious as to what people who are there have to say, i've never rode in the mountians before, this is my first trip, i'm really cautious. thanks.

Beautiful weather all week, but it has socked in this morning and it looks like we will get the forcasted snow for this week, fingers crossed. As I always say, there is snow there, you just have to get a bit creative.

I have some pics up on SnowandMud, but Im not editing twice today, no time, this forum should increase the file size a bit.

Avalanches are always a concern, get the appropriate gear, learn how to use it(take a rec course) and tread lightly untill you know the area. You can also try to hook up with a group in the parking lot that may show you around.

:D ITS ON ! Reports of 10" plus and still falling in Clemina from the Fort Mac crew:beer; Nice and mild in town, but sure looks black down south. Ill have reports from both areas tomorrow pm.

Sure do wish my office was a little farther south, not a flake in town

Good snow in most spots this weekend, extremely windblown and hard to judge the snow consistency. Very strange weather, usually nice from 6am to 11am then all heck breaks loose with wind, fog and blowing snow.

Here are a few shots

Valemount will be holding a poker run on March 29th at the lower Westridge Riding area. 10am at the Hydro Station, located at the beginning of the Westridge FSR. All proceeds made will be donated to Winterfest and Children with disabilities. Come on out for a fun easy ride to kick off the spring !

More info about hand costs, etc will be posted soon.

Hope to see you there !

I have to say Duke, you rode that Apex like a champ, even with all that weight strapped to your tunnel. Almost pulled that hillclimb. If only you had been able to get another 20ft........

In case your wondering how I know what happened, I spent the afternoon with you. Small world hey:)
What time did you manage to get back home after dinner?

Have a good one:
Al
