*valemount~mcbride Conditions 07-08*

Sled looks good, welcome to the other side!!!:D

Now that pumpkin coat:eek:

It's all part of team dayglo!

Rode Wednesday and Thursday at Clemina. Snow was good on Wednesday, pretty much 2' powder anywhere, even the first bowl. But Thursday was the ticket with an additional 2' overnight in places we rode.

So there is no 4 ft fresh?? LOL or is clemina a snow zone...

In McBride right now, rode Renshaw Fri. good snow good ride 1 1/2 - 2 1/2', overcast and snowing, rode the treeline in front of the cabin right back to the burnout. Up to Renshaw Sat. and went way back, awesome day, sunny and some light cloud. Solid 2 - 2 1/2' where we ended up, buddy snapped his clutch bolt off so headed back in but just had one of those days you live for. Sunday and i'm looking at the thermometer and it's -22c and ..... maybe by noon it'll warm up and we'll head to a local spot, there's another 2 1/2' to be had there. Keith.

Can anyone tell me what the riding was like in Valemount this weekend we are head out on Wednesday but not sure were to go yet.

Sask, there are some pics of Clemina yesterday up a few posts.

Overall better snow than allan and no one in town.

Allan was pretty tracked up, but everone is staying on the beaten paths, do a little exploring and the snow is awsome.

May add some pics from today a bit later

Darn editing takes ages:beer;

ya man, that was the most terrible cast of reverse karma ive seen, Ill let you tell the tail if you want

Again, thanks so much for luggin that sled along.

Today was good, covered a lot of ground, but I think Chantel would have bit past her limit. She sure did good on that huge sled though.

group of 3 heding out Wed and riding Thurs/Fri/Sat. Only 1 of the group as been there before, so if we could hook up with someone that knows the area that would be great.

Hey Curtis me and Phill and maybe a couple other guys will be coming in this weekend. Hopefully I can get the sled running better. I wouldn't mind following you around Allen Creek to learn the area better so if you want I can meet you at Tags around 8:45. If you dont mind that is.:)

Curtis, looks like the M1000 is working great!!! How's it work for donuts:D

Shooting video is the easy part, probably spend at least 10 minutes editing for every minute shot, and I just do the basic graphics, no fancy smoke or effects.

Can't wait to try the King vs your M1000;)

Hey depsnolvr, Just curious if a guy can get from keyhole to clemina either via the alpine or via the road just above the highway?

There is a bowl south of keyhole closed to backcountry skiing (Robina) It would be a nasty climb up into there from the southmost bowl in Keyhole..

I believe if you follow the powerline service trail, you can get to Clemina easily, I have gone the other way and made it to Canoe mountain and rode there.... Watch out though, ol' Ralph Bauer owns that mountain.. LOL

Theres a large gorge to cross on the upper hydro line, that is the reason the trail is not developed yet. Its possilbe down low, but you would need to jump the creek on the highway and thats a no no :beer;

Heres a new link to the vid posted above, a little easier to watch

the weather has somewhat cleared today(of course im back at work) the sund is poking through and you can see the mountains

Anyone traveling today should be fine

Avy conditions look pretty sketchy right now. Looks like I'm putting my trip plans off for at least another week:(.

Ride hard and ride safe guys, keep an eye on your buddies.

quick update

2-3' feet of snow in chappell, cloudy and -6, almost too much:D

reports of over a foot and a half in Clemina yesterday and two in Allan. Number of users are low, so theres tonnnnnes of snow for everyone

Folks in allan and clemina may have even gotten some sunshine today

Setting up great for Family Day weekend, dont forget about the poker run in Blue River on Saturday the 16th

Riding Valemount this Thursday to Sunday with some friends. Our first time up there. It sounds like the snow will be amazing.
