*valemount~mcbride Conditions 07-08*

We rode Saturday at Clemina, the sky was overcast, so we decided to hit the trees there. Awesome day! found some sweet powder areas and rode in untracked for most of the day.. Sunday we took our avy field test. It is amazing what you learn with Zacs/:cool:

Rode Chappell yesterday.. tracked out bad..oh did i say bad... i meant baaaddddd......... Allen creek today.. snowing lightly most of the day... still tracked out but the new snow (5cm) helped.... rode the trees most of the day.. what else do you do in low visability... still ended up being a good day. Not too many peeps of this weekend.

Rode Clemina today and found lots of untracked snow. A bit cold but had the whole area to ourselves. Heard from fellow sledders that Allan was all tracked and no as good. Hope for another good one at Clemina tomorrow!!

Hey Bass are you frezzing your nads off out there it is frigging cold.
Just going to take a stab but I would say this is Lee, Myron and Barry. Ride safe and stay warm.

Rode Clemina on Sat and snow was good. We had some real bad luck with sleds. 11 sleds in total and 2 07 XRS and 1 1000 summit with blown engines and 1 apex with broken handle bars and shock. Not a good weekend to be waving the skidoo flag.

Hi,

Is it hard to find a place to rent in Valemount? Wouldn't mide spending a month in the area riding.

it is tough right now, due to the Pipeline crews taking up a lot of space.

the valley sentinel is the local paper to find listings

Talk to one of the slower hotels maybe ?

Curtis

The weather is definately warming up, forcasting for sun/cloud all weekend with mild temps....looking to be a good one !

Ill be back running :face-icon-small-hap, see you on the hill !

Rode Wednesday and Thursday at Clemina. Snow was good on Wednesday, pretty much 2' powder anywhere, even the first bowl. But Thursday was the ticket with an additional 2' overnight in places we rode. It was mostly sunny but the fog was in and out of Morning Glory so we never went in. There would be some awesome snow there this weekend. Never really saw anyone who rode other places but I would have to assume that they were just as good.

Sorry no pics, the files are too big, but suffice it to say that we never climbed everything we tried and we were on XP and Apex turbos. Granted it would have been better for me if I didn't have a 10lb exhaust leak with my boost set for 20lbs. I guess I can't complain, even 10 lbs is better than anything I've ever had before.

Bitter cold morning. One Doo was froze up solid and he gave up and went home. Warmed up, and sunshine the rest of the day.

Had a begginer in the group and breaking in the new machine so took it easy.

New sled is great so far, rode all day without a riser, that was killer but fixed

Conditions varied all over the mountain, hard pack to 1'. Overall good snow and a great time.
