*valemount~mcbride Conditions 07-08*

Just pulled in to Valemount last night from Calgary. We're here till Saturday, should be a wicked good time. Weather is supposed to be warm, but sunny most of the week. :D

First time in this area, so if we could hook up with someone who knows the place that would be sweet. We're thinking about riding Clemina today if the rain isn't too bad.

Renshaw was socked in Friday. But still managed to get around. Lost a key on a rev on a rollover, so had to go to PG on Sat. morning. Sat was clear and sunny. Hardly anyone there after 2PM... had the whole area 10min past the cabin. Hardly any tracks. O well, more powder for us!

Pics to fellow soon

hey , let it snow ,will be pulling in there tommorrow at between 10 and 11am .will either ride allen or clemina depending on weather. maybe we can hookup with you and can show you around. what kind of rig are you driving so we know what to look for.i will have black duramax and matching trailer.

Leaving Lloydminster Thursday night, and planning to ride Clemina on Friday, and McBride Saturday. So keep the updates coming. Might have a spot for someone if they're interested in riding this weekend, too.

We rode Allen today... lots of tracks, but otherwise a great day. Nobody got hurt and the views were spectacular! :D

Big thanks go out to Vinnie Clark and Alpine Country Rentals for helping us get an XP running right. It wasn't even his sled, but he tinkered on it for a few hours for us. It ended up being more than we could handle so we had to rent another one off him. He is a stand up guy and went WAY above the call of duty to help us out.

Sending them up one more time

Well, we are going to give it one more shot :D

VARDA will be grooming the Allan and Clemina Creek snowmoible areas on Friday night, April 18th. Depending on the attendance we may run them up Saturday night as well, but it is strictly depending on rider numbers.

COME ON UP FOR ONE LAST RIDE !

We would like to thank all the 2007/2008 VARDA sponsors and all of our visiting guests for an excellent season.

Can't wait to see you all next year and keep your ears and eyes open for more ATV development in the Valemount area

Thanks again everyone ! Have a great summer !

Solo rider

My riding partner bailed on me but I think I'm going to go tomorrow by myself anyways. Conditions and weather may be too good to pass up. Heading to Clemina and leaving Edmonton area early in the morning.

Anyone need a riding partner or doesn't mind a tag-along I should be at Clemina unloading by around 11am, red 01 Dodge quadcab and black 04 Rev800X on the deck.

Just got back from the Renshaw. Very windy, and poor visability, so we came back to have a rest, than probably heading to Bell. The highway was pretty slick driving up this morning. One car rolled over as we came through Jasper.

Rode Renshaw again, and got across the saddle this day. Beautiful day for riding. Trail up is getting pretty tough. Burnt the sliders of my Apex because I broke my scratchers yesterday. Was up Bell last night, and the snow was really good there.

hay guys were headed up to clemina next weeknd 25-26-27 there will be a few of us and im the only one that kinda knows the area, lol (but not that well) just wonderin what the snow is gona be like,
if any one would like to be a quide on friday that would be appreciated
Red ford S/D with a deck blue nytro and a XPEEE
thanks
Matt

Will a person still be able to ride in a couple of weeks. Would like to take another stab at it the first weekend in May.

re: snow/trail conditions

I was wondering the same thing... we are getting pounded with snow in Edmonton, is any of it coming or going from Valemount?

Sorry guys, beautiful blue skies, although we did get a dusting in town on Monday which must have amounted to something in the alpine down south.

Well, we are now officially done grooming for the season. Again, I would like to thank all VARDA sponsors, our grooming contractor and most importantly all of you riders that come to our wonderful winter paradise. Valemount is an awesome place to be and an even better place to ride !

Dont forget, we are just as much fun in the summer ! Fishing is only a few weeks away:D

Cheers to another looooong and deeeeeeep season for 2008/2009:beer;

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions for VARDA even things you would like to see done with cabins, trails, parking areas etc, we are always listening to our riders, please email or call the VARDA office.

Take care and have a great spring, lots of riding left out there

Dixon is open

For all those that have been asking, I can finally say...

Yes it is ok to ride the Dixon Glacier in Clemina. The sign states April 30th, but all of our paperwork states that when the Heli outfits are done for the season, the HeliSki areas, besides a few relating to other circumstances, will be open for sledding, so have at it:D
I will be working on the possibility of covers for the signs after the Heli guys are closed to reduce the confusion for next year.

Perfect i think we are going to hit Oasis couple buddies just got back from there and said is was awsome.
