Iam checking weather conditions every were, looking for snow I only got out once last season on the Dragon 800 163". I did lots of trail riding on the XC 800 I am also looking foward to trying out the Dragon 800 switchback. I just picked it up on friday

The artical

I read this b%%%%%%t My friends and road Blue river and Climina earlier this year. They will have to give me a hole lot of tickets to get me out of there. In the artical it says that this was started in 2007 and it will be reviewed in 2010 I dont no to much more but we were fine last year.

^^^What article are you speaking of ?^^^

Was into clemina today to look at some projects going on. The snow level on the road is building. Snow starts at 10km and gets anywhere from 9" to a foot as you get towards the cabin. The construction boys from the Hydro project are still in there and said they should be back out to 4km by mid November.

looks like a new addition to the cabin!
Does the hydro project have an influence on when we start riding?

nope, not at all. They have actually kicked back a lot of cash by rebuilding the paralelling trail to the Forestry Road in clemina for us to use in case of emergency(winter plowing) as well as funded the connector from the clemina lot to keyhole that we have been pushing for all summer. I will know within the week if we are successful

Soon I will set up a season starting post with detailed info on any changes that have been completed this summer, but if you have any questions before then, just email varda@valemount.com :beer;

see you soon !

The skies or your dog???:D

The skies and well, I guess the new baby too:)

Hey Guys and Gals

This little bit of snow is a great start for our sledding season and should be amounting to lots up high.

Please keep in mind that it is a bit too early to come up. Reason being, the new trail into allan is very rough and will not have sufficient cover. The old way up has some lower creeks that will not have sufficient snow around them to fill in and will make it very difficult to get in. The temps are very warm and the lower valley snow is melting away as it falls. Clemina has a construction crew working from 0-10 km for another week or two so the snow is non existant on the road and their is not sufficient snow to go anywhere off of the main road line yet.

I know you are all excited and I cant wait to ride either, but I will do my best to keep you updated.

:DYesterday a lot of my hard work from this summer has finally paid off ! We recieved the official go ahead from the Government to complete our new trail from the Clemina parking area to the Keyhole riding area. This will extend riding opportunities even further and it feels great to offer something new to our visitors this season. Remember we in Valemount are always working to provide better experiences for our riders and appreciate you coming back !:beer;

Hopefully there will be more to come in the future !

PS, You guys are lucky, My X is nowhere to be seen:eek:
