You are allowed i i think 1770 kg on the front 1770 kgs on the rear its close but with a aluminum deck and two light sleds you'll be ok, the problem is with the extended cab dodge 1500 all your weight end up over the rear axel.
weight on the steering is very important last week i had 1900 kgs on the back 1430 on the front it can be very dangerous if your not carefull, i havent put bags in yet but they will help for sure. But either way be carefull when taking weight off your steering.
Ya havin the sled in the back of my Dakota, with the 5.5' box. I have a 8' deck built. It's not over weight, but the overhang sure takes the weight off the steering. You have to BE CAREFULL on snow roads. best is 4x4 then it steers OK. Had some butt pucker moment one trip out allready this year
Yeah had that too....hit a decent bump in a turn, felt a little understeer, but it's common sense.
If you're driving with that much wait, to have to adjust how you drive.
I'm 17... most of us have heavy foots... I just took it easy the whole way there when it was needed.
Ya you bet i deal with it every day in the winter but with allot more weight, just thought i would put in my two cents keep it safe out there and everyone have a good time.
Nope believe it or not there wasn't to much carnage. One sled went for a ghost ride down the hill and recieved a little front end damage but nothing to serious.
