Valemount - Mcbride 08/09

if u want in allen creek go the back way to avoid the ice climbs and woops lol well some..... dont except a smooth trail any ware

The back way is a caribou closure and there is signage right where vehicles were parked this weekend:( Hope you werent one of them

closures

what is wrong with these people who cant read the signs, you know what maybe many of you only ride once or maybe twice a year and dont give a sh$t about pissing off the enviromentalists but we who spend lots of time mountain riding care, so use your heads and learn how to read!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah.... That's a short trail anyways... it's still somewhat early, snow may be a little thin on the trail so they can't really groom.... put up with it, or buy a two-up touring, shi**.

CLosures are there for a reason... Deal with them, and don't chanve it for the rest of us.

Hate to be a narc but pisses me off when i followed the big ride guide with their tour boys last weekend out of town only to see him turn off and take them up the bak trail so the quebec boys didnt have to ride up the crappy switchbacks on rented sleds, Nice work tony.

hey there just wanted to say thanks to the valemont area for giiving us saskatchewan boys a great weekend, it was our first time out there and we will be back snow was decent and the people and businesses are top notch. thanks again to everyone and keep that snow coming we'll be back early in the new year.

that was well said!!!! thanks!!:beer;

Rode Clemina today... not good. Probed just up from the cabin. 2-2.5ft of snow. Lots of open holes. Lots of rocks and trees. Can't ride half the areas. Trail was painful! Whoops the whole way... and deep!
Sorry for the downer post
Non the less.... still good to get out

Rode Chappel.... better bring some hedge trimmers and a snorkel... many open rivers (not creeks) and felt like Rambo getting whipped for 3 miles of willows.. once up there i think my toe was covered for some of it.. probed it and there was 4ft plus in some areas but other faces had much less.. good for early season testing but not worth much else for now.. if you are itching to ride the you could go but my vote is to hold your horses.. too much risk of kissing that stump (which i did but not fast enough to bend ****) and sinking it in the down hill rivers and scratching it in the willows...

Riding Allen just because we are up here and we can..

Got 6 new '09 XP's, only one coolant leak but no clutch issue with the low snow conditions and they all ran really strong.. Turbo Nitro kicked some *** and a Dragon raped out gave all the BRPS a run..

The XP's were overheating on the trail (cause it was gravel) so install your ice scratchers.. but before attempting to make it up the ice luge' track install some scratchers!

will post more tommorow!

They trucked there own sleds from Quebec, they spent a day in my shop before they went west.

Closures are there for what reason? We keep dealing with them and not fighting them, we won't have any areas left.

Up Allan today. Looked like curl stones not snowmobiles as everyone spinning out on the trail. One poor bud broke his wrist as the guy in front of him spun out and came backwards at about 50 kms and plowed in to him. They should send the sanding truck up.
