Valdez hillclimb updates

Didn't mean to hold out on our "Grudge match" results...Yes, other people signed up for it at the last minute for a trophy.... just to have Doug (now "Mr. Danger" to me:rolleyes:) kick all of our behinds on ....ahhhh....choke, cough...his pregnant wife's sled, combined that with the "kicked in the gut" feeling of what really mattered that day...we all lost yesterday....

It's all good Robert. I just had to get a poke in about the "grudge" match. I am truely sorry about what all of you had to go through up there with the Avy and the death. I can't imagine what you all were going through. sounds like alot of good people came together and did what they had to do. Thanks to all who were there and Prayers to the family and freinds of the victim.

robert...robert,...robert..didnt we talk about this..didnt I tell you to just take the competion out the night before and feed them booze all night long?..didnt I also tell you to just get up early race morning and pour your morning coffee in their tanks?...man what are we going to do with you?...I guess next time we ride (all of the boys)..we will have to have an impromtu hill climb event.....and I will be sure to bring the good old rifle along to make sure no one else gets to the top before you.......

News release. After Mr. Danger schooled us on his wife's sled (140hp verse up to 230hp supercharge sled) .
Mr. Dangers manager just announced that he will be offering "for a limited time only" a racing school that promises you to faster down hill speeds (out of control), sand bagging secretes, how to zip tie your throttle down, how to fool your buddies in to stupid grudge matches after free beer...
You too could have all this for 3 easy payment of $19.95
*battery's not included, some bandages required:p

A few pics from the weekend. Was great to see all the faces out there. By the way Doug, Michelle wanted me to remind you that it's great that you won your class... But she dominated the after party. I apologize to any racers that were injured via tackle inside of trailer (Wichman).

I second that. It was good to meet all of you. It was a trip that I will never forget and will do this every year instead of Arctic Man. I will post some pics in a day or two. I even have some spy pics of Dash riding an Arctic Cat! Man that girl can ride. She really should race next year. Hell, I might even race. Hey Robert and John, I need some racing pointers! :D Mabe we can hold that class in Whittier!

FYI: Spook and his wife paid for all the trophy's in the Trophy classes. Thanks Spook for working hard to get this class approved to bring some new sledders down. It worked, lots of new faces this year! You have a great supportive family, you just need to feed your little boy lol;)

The City of Valdez donates $25,000 for this event. I haven't heard of any city so supportive of snowmachiners! They also loan the snowmobile club their groomer for the event. Maybe next year I can get them to groom me a track up the hill, (man I struggled on that last corner) glad I finally made it over, I thought I was going to have to get off and push up the long pull:eek:

I would skip A-man anytime if I had to choose between the two events. See you all next year!

No one mentioned how fast Spook's sled was....I think this was 101 in physics....to many mods, + a 60 shot of NOS + flying over the jumps 400mph = grenaded drivers:eek:
Sorry Spook I forgot to tell you Doug borrowed my drill bits and opened your NOS nossels for 100hp hit & my saws-all to cut halfway through your drivers lol

I guess I could race if I can ride (ehm ehm crash) your sled :D
Pointers: Duct tape the throttle and your hands to the handle bars and ask somebody to release the brake!

LMAO! I have got insurance, race it! I will even bring the duct tape and hold the brake for you. Ride it like you stole it. It would not be the first time that happened!

What a weekend! Good weather, Met some great people, even you recon ross, even though I'm a 'McA-hole' as you told me many times saturday night, lol. It was cgreat to see many new racers and spectators, and I hope everyone comes back next year. Dash, buy a Polaris and come racing next year, or even Alyeska this year. Ballz to the wall, you raced hard. Your not afraid to go for it. Don't worry, I won't tell too many people that you got beat by a 100lbs girl:D:beer;. You better race next year AK M8, you know you want to.

No Nick... I was over served. No fault of my own. And JP definitely did not give up. Maybe if he had a wife whose sled he could borrow he could have won a class right Doug. Maybe next year I'll actually race instead of just saying innappropriate things and drinking excessive amounts:beer;:beer;:beer;.... Maybe ;)

Man what a good trip, got there late Wednesday night, and even ran into prayn4snow in Glenallan. We didnt ride on Thursday do to the lighting, but got lots of bs'ing out of the way. On Friday I watched about 30 minutes of racing before I was invited on a ride, and I sure am glad I didnt turn it down. We did a 70 mile ride that was awesome, and found some deep powder. I rode with AKM8 and Dash, and a couple of others and they were great to ride with. After Dash took a spin on the M8, I let her loose on my RMK and she rode it like she had been on it for years. She pretty much did the same thing with the M8, so I can say me and AKM8 got schooled on our own sleds, lol. Saturday was a good ride also up in the Worthington Bowl, and found some decent powder, especially when we droped down the back side. I will post some pics later.

Yep, that is a true story! It was good to meet and hang out with you, Hilary, and Ben. That ride was pretty sick! Can't wait to do it again.
