Who are you referring to my friend? Call em out.. Plenty of excuses and whining from Ute fans the last 2 years when they lost.. In fact they still continue..

Ill agree though Utahs defense read Max like a book and capitalized.. Good Job Utes.

I highly doubt Utah plays in the Fiesta bowl this year.. They have first pick from the BCS bowls and With teams like Texas, Ohio State, and USC still in the at large pool they will definately pass up Utah.. Im pretty sure that Utah will go to the Sugar bowl and play the loser of the SEC championship game.. So New Orleans it is.. IM thinkin me and my dad are gonna go to it too.. And yes I will even be sporting Utah apparel and cheer them on to take down whoever they play..

Nobody specific here just some thoughts I had after reading about the game. I am just defending myself like everyone else here. I like to see BYU succeed too, (except with the Utes) I just can't seem to get over that TCU beating...I don't think many BYU players got over it much either the rest of the season. I am a fan of Bronco M. also, I just happen to think Whittingham is a better coach. I hope the cougars can beat the BCS whenever Utah isn't......now bring on the snow!

byu wont be any better next year than they are this year and last. they will always be a 10 & 2 / 9 & 3 team given the limitations they have in recruiting. they have pretty much peaked as far as their competitive level. until they somehow aquire that "killer" instinct, competitive drive, determination, and focus they are as good right now (and last couple of years) as they will ever be. as long as they continue to focus on being percieved as a "good-sportsmanship, love-thy-(opponent) brother, better-off the-field-than-on-it" team, they are as good as they will ever get.

Whatever bowl and wherever! The Fiesta against Texas would be a dream for me! (However, I'd have a tough time knowing who to cheer for in that game!???)

texas, alabama, oklahoma, florida - i would love to see pee-yewtah play any of em. these teams are in a whole 'nother league, and would mop the field with the ewets. you guys need to come down off your victory high and take a reality pill or two.... any of those teams would embarass the utards, just like they (utards) did byu. and they would do worse to byu.

First off, TCU didnt play to bad against Oklahoma, better than Tech did. And Utah beat Oregon State who pounded then #1 USC. Utah may not have the depth, but their starters can definately compete at that level. And your very own Wyoming team upset Tennessee.

And BYU only lost to 2 very good Top 20 teams.

Not sure where your coming from??

There's only three teams in the country I think Utah would have a tough time beating....Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida! Alabama is very beatable, IMO. They went to OT with LSU, who is not a very good team. LSU has to come from 31-3 down to beat Troy (whoever that is??) i think USC is also beatable. Florida is playing the best ball in the country, and I don't think Alabama can get past them.

I'm thinking Florida vs. Texas in the BCS Championship game

Oklahoma vs. USC in the Fiesta Bowl

Alabama vs. Utah in the Sugar Bowl

Penn St. vs. Oregon State in the Rose Bowl

Florida St. vs. Cincinnati in the Orange Bowl (truly sucks....as Boise State deserves to play here!)

As it sits right now, that is about an accurate prediction that there is. Things still will shake out the next two weeks, probably at least one big upset and a few closer games as well as blowouts that may not be expected. Then, we leave it up to a bunch of ***gin pencil pushers and accountants to "select". What a crock of chit. The BCS is nothing more than uni presidents hoarding the money. Figure out a playoff system and let the players and coaches determine this stuff on the field - oh wait, we can't do that, schools like Notre Dame won't get all of their guaranteed TV money.

I agree with this to an extent... One thing that has frustrated me most this year is how bronco forces his team to not let football be a priority.. GIven im sure most the players realize their family friends and god take precedence before any football game.. But when its saturday game time all they should care about is killing teams.. If BYU can fix their defense I think that they can one day break the BCS.. They need to realize a stellar offense doesnt do it.. Next year we have 2 4 star rated safties committed to BYU.. one ranked #14 in their position and another in #18.. Now they need to focus on defensive backs that are fast.. If they can fix their secondary I think their defense could get close to Utahs.. If they got more speed on defense for next year they will have a shot at breaking the BCS, although i more realistically see them ending 11-1 or 10-2 again but if they fix their defense they will be a lot better team than they are this year..

Go cougars!!

I agree 95% with this post, i think that Oklahoma plays in the NCG and Texas is in the Fiesta..

Oklahoma VS. Oklahoma State next week

Texas Vs texas a & m

Oklahaoma is behind by like .08 or something in the BCS poll.. AN oklahoma win jumps them ahead of Texas for sure.. Sending them to the Big 12 Championship to stomp missouri

My wife called me today in a panic because all her students were complaining about not having any hall passes....apparently they were all intercepted over the weekend.:p

Is it true that BYU plays both ASU and Oklahoma this next season?? dude that is potentially a National Championship schedule with a little help from other teams.

Get real, BSU proved the west is as good as the east when they beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. You can spout all you want but us "little guys" are getting it done with less money to recruit, while all the time battling with a system that has your mentality.

I don't see BYU ever having a fast secondary! Why? Because most fast corners and safeties are black! If you're a blue chip black athlete....do you really want to live in Provo? Likely NOT! ;)

dude one of our DBs is black!!!!!!!! But slow as dirt... We got screwed there...

But BYU has Florida ST at home next year, Arizona St. away and the Oklahoma deal isnt done yet.. The dallas cowboys stadium will be done next year and Oklahoma is going to play someone there.. and BYU is on the short list.. I hope they get it, that would be awesome..

If the MWC has a year like this year that is easily a NCG schedule.. Only problem is that I dont see BYU going undefeated through that schedule.. We have a favorable conference schedule next year with all out hardest games at home and If we magically came up with a defense over the offseason then maybe.. That would be awesome if they figured out how to win all those games.. Then they would have a legit argument for a NCG bid.. Imagine the Controversy that would stir.. A Mid-major in the national championship.. everyone would be calling for a playoff then!!

I dont see BYU going undefeated next season though but its a cool scenario to think about

That lone black guy is probably just some dude the missionaries found in Watts or Harlem, not necessarily an athlete! ;) Kind of like the "lone" black guy they show singing in the tabernacle choir about 260 times every General Conference! If it wasn't for that guy maybe they'd call it the Mormon Crackernacle Choir???

So says the white dude :face-icon-small-win

There's at least two black players with Brandon Howard and Brandon Bradley. And Bradley is a life-long member, I believe. He's pretty slow with a 4.5 40.

That is exactly why I like BYU. Its nice to see a team of mainly white boys with a few islanders play that good.:D
