Yippee, for the Utah Utes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This thread was fun to read and all the posts were great. Great game and good times.

So what's with the classless fans getting into it with the players after the game? Yeah yeah your team won the game. So go celebrate with them. Stay away from the players. You had nothing to do with the game. By going up to a player after the game and doing that, it shows just how classless that school is. I know it is a rivalry but keep it between your buddies and fans not the players.

Oh yeah by the way I hope you Utah fans thank Max Hall for that game because he was your best defensive player on the field tonight. 5 interceptions and 1 fumble. Can you say CHOKE!!!!

Not going to thank Max, i'm going to thank the defense, they are the ones
that caused the turnovers (funny how people look at things) all BYU fans
are blaming Max, instead of giving the "D" credit.

Yes the Utes Defense Stepped it up compared to the Cougs defense. Got to give them credit for that. However, Max Hall had a horrible game. He had 5 interceptions and he should have had more like 10. He didn't read the defense like he should have. If it was only 1 or 2 picks I would give more credit to the D, but when you throw 5 in one game with 1 fumble you are definitely not on top of your game. You could tell he was frustrated with himself after the pick right before the half when he shoved the Ute player down and got a 15 yard penalty to help out the Utes again. So instead of trying to get in range for a field goal they could go for the end zone. And of Course our D couldn't stop them.
You may say give credit to the Utes D but the Y still put up 447 Total yards on them and the U only put up 406 yards. Thats because Max Hall kept giving up the ball in the Cougs territory. Max never gave our D a real chance.

All I can say is that game was AWESOME. I scored a ticket last minute and was able to go.....too bad I was just inside the cougar section. The party was pretty quiet to say the least.

Bronco Mendehall placed the blame squarely on Maxs shoulders, he called him out by name at half time and post game. I think Max is a great QB and could go pro, this game was definitely not his finest hour?

Sorry but if your a cougy fan and people are giving you crap because your covered in blue at rice eccles on one of the most anticipated rival games in the west and your pizzed because somebody says something to you?!?!?? So go home! It's the lone puzzy walking through a pen of hungry dogs scenerio. Welcome to College football... As far as the game goes, I'm not sure I would want to play opposing that utah crowd. Definately a great game and fun watching alot of cougs sneaking out half way through the fourth. Go UTES!!! .............BOWLING!

So 1 or 2 picks and you give them credit? but not 5, I dont understand that at all. A sripped fumble and linemen getting their hands on all those passes
isn't misreading the defense. JMO, one more thing 447 yards and just 24 points, now that's some "D" (not trying to be a dick JMO)

The previous 2 years was poor coaching at the end of the game, IMHO. This year was Max Hall having a $hitty game!!

I think BYU may need to regroup. If I was calling their plays, I would have run Unga and thrown to Collie on every play!! Utes couldn't stop either one.

when utah ever did lose their momentum and the game got close it was because of plays with those 2. i dont know how you can say that wasnt good defence and halls fault for 5 picks thrown, there were some of those picks that the defense read perfectly that hall didnt even see the defensive player coming.

Oh, not saying the defense didnt play great and Max Hall had a terrible game. I am a Ute fan, trust me, but if I was BYU, I would have had a much different game plan. I'm glad they did what they did.
