The BCS is BS!!! How can Oklahoma leapfrog Texas when Texas beat them in a head to head matchup? And, how can Texas Tech stay ahead of Utah after getting beaten so badly? What a joke!!!!! To he!! with these one loss teams!!! Let it be sorted out on the field and not by some computer and people who think they know everything! March Madness for basketball would pale compared to a true bowl playoff system! December and January College Football Mania! Start with a 16 team bracket (Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, and Southeast) and let the fun begin!!! 1st series of 8 games played the weekend before Christmas! Then 4 games played on New Years Day! The final championship game played a week or two after after! Some of the other bowls could still be played early, for non-championship bracket teams!

Probably never gonna happen....but it should!

I agree with you there on the BCS!! I hate it with a passion.. But Tech is behind Utah in the BCS standings.. Utah is ranked #6 although I think it should be #5 ahead of USC..

LMAO.....I just noticed the mighty Cougs, yes the ones that only lost because of Max Hall. It had absolutely nothing to do with the Defense, the Crowd, or any other reason, are the lowest ranked 2 loss team in the nation and the only one with a three loss team ahead of them. The three loss team also happens to be one that the MIGHTY UTES beat. The Beavers deserves to be ahead of the Cougs though, at least they came to play

As it has been explained to us.......If you believe the BCS is about who is deserving of a bowl game because of their win loss record then yes BSU deserves a BCS bowl game, BUT the BCS is about more than that and one major factor is how big of a draw the team is for the biggest fan base to bring in the revenue.

So there it is - it's all about popularity and the almighty dollar. To he11 with the kids and what they accomplish.

Sad thing - the BCS in my opinion!

The more us "non-bcs conference" little guys force them to take notice that were just as good as the big dogs, helps and eventually has to force them to take note. If BSU & Ball State and you and anyone else that get a chance to go up against a "big dog" team wins, it can only help send the message.

Ill agree though Utahs defense read Max like a book and capitalized.. Good Job Utes.

I highly doubt Utah plays in the Fiesta bowl this year.. They have first pick from the BCS bowls and With teams like Texas, Ohio State, and USC still in the at large pool they will definately pass up Utah.. Im pretty sure that Utah will go to the Sugar bowl and play the loser of the SEC championship game.. So New Orleans it is.. IM thinkin me and my dad are gonna go to it too.. And yes I will even be sporting Utah apparel and cheer them on to take down whoever they play..

I think Bronco has done an amazing job with the BYU prgram!! And they will be stout next year, with many underclassmen returning.

They got beat this season by 2 teams with fast defenses. Next year maybe they will run those BIG Tongan backs a little more, beat down the fast defenses and control the game.

As for excuses, no one is making them for the last 2 seasons, was just pour coaching decisions by Utah and BYU took advantage and beat them.

You wanna know what sucks though? BYU is returning most of their defense!!! Usually thats a good thing but after this year I wish It were a complete whitewash ha!

But I agree Bronco has done awesome with BYU.. Only 2 losses for the past 3 seasons.. ANy program would kill for that kind of success.. Now we just have to figure out how to make it to the BCS. Utes got any hints? haha

I agree bronco is a good coach and has brought byu back up to where it needs to be but why won't he ever change his game plan... the utah coaches knew no matter how many times they let them rush they still would rather pass it and utah gave them the ground game (over 200 yards rushing) and yet they still forced the pass all night long even though the utah defense was just sitting back there waiting for it, and when byu was on defense they gave utah the 6 or 7 yard slant patterns all night long so utah is smart enough to keep running that play and just march down the field everytime and make bran johnson look alot better than he really is

BYU is right there knocking at the door! I admire the discipline Bronco has brought to the Cougs. I have a lot of personal admiration for Gary Crowton as well, as he was one of the graduate assistant coaches while I was at Snow College. He kind of took me under his wing, as my Linebacker coach was an azzhat! He's a great guy, and an amazing offensive mind. Maybe not well suited for D1 head coaching?? I am also a Lavell Edwards fan. Knowing his son very well (one of the orthopedic surgeons I work with closely) I now admire him even more. His son John is one of the best men I know!

Personally, I think Utah, BYU, TCU and Boise State need to bolt to another conference, or make the Mtn West more competitive?

I think BYU's huge line is both a benefit and a problem for them. I see them struggle most against athletic, fast defenses, like TCU and Utah. They will likely always have good QBs as they still have the trademark as QB University. Next year's D will likely be improved.
