Is textron getting out of the snowmobile business. Makes no sense too drop the price that low unless your cleaning out the house?

Im going to my dealer early next week to see what the "actual" price is going to be, i hear they are adding a bunch of set up & doc fees on top of those prices posted

They will also have to add cat’s flat rate shipping which was not included in that price structure.

Don’t pay freight that’s a cost of doing business. I also refuse to pay setup fees and will go to a dealer that doesn’t charge them. That setup fee is just a scam anyway they don’t setup anything. Have you ever actually checked anything on a new purchase? They slam the skis on no grease on the shoulders of the bolts(which is in the setup manual). Belt deflection not set track not tight. You used to have to check the oil pumps and add antifreeze most of the time grease the skid which takes about half a tube of grease. There is a setup manual and procedures to follow on every new sled. You also should sign a PDI sheet at purchase. I might consider paying if they did something however when I worked a dealership we never charged a setup fee.

I called my dealer today, the price on the website is the price plus tax, no hidden fees at least at my dealer. $11750.00 for the Riot X with the qs3 shocks.

Some Complain when prices are high and now complain and speculate on when their low.....just proves you can’t please everyone out there! A lot of negativity out there that’s for sure

Didn’t complain about the price drop just asked a question concerning people’s thoughts on the direction the company is heading. So temperamental aren’t we

There are no added incentives on warranty or financing. All that costs extra money for the manufacturer. One year warranty and that’s it. The snowmaggedon price is dealer bare bones price only. Very different from any other cat year pricing. No hold back for dealers and very little mark up. Supposedly very strict pricing and dealers will get fined who sell below. Cat is supposedly only going to build what’s snow checked. The new ceo wants to clean house and get rid of all non currents and and sell everything they build for 2020. It’s actually a pretty smart business plan if it works out.

The only thing holding me back from ordering a riot x is the 1 year warranty. I have a 2019 high country that needed a new motor at 393 miles on it. I have a 4 year warranty with that sled.
