We only have just short of two weeks until we are out there. That reminds me I need to get my sled out and all of last years broken parts fixed. Here come the fights with the wife about overnight shipping charges that could have been avoided had i done it all in the summer. But what does she know anyways.

FYI - you can pick up the 2008 parking permits at the West Laramie Fly Store for $30. That makes it MUCH easier, since they are open on evenings and weekends. I went ahead and picked one up last Saturday when I bought the stickers for the sleds.

They will not take credit cards for the permits - so take cash with you or walk across the parking lot to the ATM.....

So it's all right to have a little fire to cook some brats or something? We did once last year, but were a little jumpy about it.

Planned on doing it this year as well but were going to try to limit it to secluded areas.

a few questions...
It has been a few years since we have been there but are thinking about heading out for a few days saturday or sunday. we have ridden out of greenrock in the past. what are the lodging options in that area? snowy mountain lodge open? anything in centenial besides the old corral? snow hasnt all blown off the road between the parking lot and the pass has it?
anyone want to ride, maybe sunday monday and tuesday? group of 2-4 coming

Parking Lot Fees

I may be in the wrong spot but here goes. I heard that the DNR was going to charge for parking in all parking lots. Then I heard it was only Albany. When does this go into effect? Is it just for trailers left over nite? What is the fee? I am coming out from Iowa but just for 2 days at the end of Dec.
