My broke arse doesn't have enough money to toss into just being able to access a forum.

I already pay $60 a month just to get cable internet at my house..... I'm pretty sure that's enough as it is.

Already registered with backcountryrebels. Not sure why everything has changed on this forum but it seems that with more moderators=more subcategories=more of a pain in the arse to navigate.

H2Oregon.com is expanding to other western states in the next few weeks. The site is fast, ad-free, has close partnerships with big vendors, gives away free stuff to members from time to time, sponsors a film fest, etc. It has seen huge growth, with a lot of the members coming from Snowest.

The worst part about this place is the moderators. It's like being an NFL player. If you complain publicly about the cafeteria food, you get reprimanded behind closed doors. If you call some moron a name, you get reprimanded. Forums are supposed to enable conversations between people who would never meet otherwise. You can't step into a conversation I'm having on the phone and tell me what I can and can't say, so why try to dictate (everything aside from reasonable censorship) what gets said around here? If we can force out some of the god-complex moderators, this place would go back to being a great forum like it was.

Relax...it's coming. The post that he's drafting can't be done in the amount of time that everyone wants it done in. He's got a LOT on his plate. He's at the hospital with his daughter. Hopefully if people understand this they'll ease up.

How many times over the life of the SnoWest forums has a rumor about this becoming a pay site occured? I remember more than once. As is evident, it hasn't happened. Why is this being talked about now? Does anyone have any evidence that this was a serious consideration?

Oh you can say all you want to a member who has been here for a long time who is trying to stop the madnes in any way he can but your statements will be excused as being made by a Newb or whatever.

Although I slightly agree with some of your statements.
I do not blame "The Mods" as you do...I put the blame solely on Christopher's shoulders for all the changes that have slowed this site to a crawl and all the stupid changes to the forum that will only attract high School drop-outs and the facebook crowd.

I see that a couple of the Mods have abused their "Power" but for the most part they are committed to maintain this site as a leader in sledding forums.
Too bad Their leader is making that impossible.

I'm not a big poster but read a bunch i just seem to feel more at home at snowandmud.com one thing i like is that you don't see the max thread on top every time you log on they have the max thread in a privet area that you have to ask a mod to put you in to that area kind of nice to see the good stuff and not the max all the time i also like the mods they are good guys they post and talk to ya like anyone Else
as for snowest becoming a pay forum i hope not i do spend a fair amount of time here and would hate to not have the access to the good info on this site as well

This is by far the BIGGEST PROBLEM with the site, I don't care if this place runs at the speed of light. Until the moderator problems are taken care of, this place will never be as good as it once was.

How could we possibly have a fair and balanced 4M with vendors as moderators, WAKE UP SNOWEST our 4m is going in the toilet..
