I was trying to get here to post a reply, but many other things going on at the same time.
(Not that anyone cares, but my *baby*, a 10 month old Golden is at the Vet's for some sudden severe lameness. My Vet called me, and I was on the phone with him for quite awhile going over the problem)
No one is trying to hide anything. We'd just like for you to have FACTS, not misinformation, or inaccurate info as was posted with that OLD document. We are far beyond that. It wouldn't be right to put something out that doesn't contain correct info, or answer any questions you may have.
I CARE very much for this place, and the members of it. We have some fantastic people here!! I've made some very good friends. I've watched some of your kids as they grow (I still get a giggle out of "TrunkMonkey"), shared in heartache, read and been touched by stories of family outings/proud moments, been happy to see the new sleds you get or the mods you do to them, shared in the love of this sport, and tried to help with things in any way I could.
I don't like to see rumors running rampant, and people getting upset over things that aren't true. Please try to be patient just a bit longer. As Scott said, I think you'll understand and like it.

I just found that I got paid in the mail today from a customer, super wealthy, that has been shining me on for a year+ now... 1 new Porsche and 1 new wife later (for him). Her shoes probably cost more than he owed me. (frown)
Any kind of membership fee is nothing compared to the un-billable hours that I spend on the forums or the beers that I've bought with fellow members .... I've been writing "books" on here for 2 years and been harvesting just as much info as well. Lots of others like 1200psi, Boss Rev, Big John and many others have done the same.
The members that I have turned into friends here.... Priceless!!
I'm looking fwd to riding with a lot of new people this year!!

Like most things, the squeaky wheel gets the grease... There seems to be a lot of people that are only on snowest to complain, to moan, and to carry on. IMO, the only thing that changed are the whiners. There are / is whining about everything now. Too many this, too many that, why wasn't I asked about this, I don't want it to do that.
I love all this, "I am leaving, I am leaving crap.". 10 posts later they are still hear saying they are leaving. Crap, some have been leaving for 2 months already....

Are we paying to help supplicate the cost of the new forum, or are we paying because somebody sees an oportunity to generate revenue?
I've been on this forum for a LOOONG time, and I didn't see anything wrong with the way it used to be. However, the changes have been made, the new forum runs horribly slow, and they say new servers are needed to get it back in order. Soooo, are we talking a small donation from every user, or a yearly membership fee???
I don't mind helping out with the new infrastructure, but a yearly membership fee is more than likely out of the question.

I believe it counts every time you log off and back on but I'm not sure. Just surfing back and fourth in the forum without logging off won't add to the count??
I was wrong on part of it, I didn't take into account guests. The number of registered users that have viewed the thread is around 1k. So it is 40% of people that have read the thread voted no.
Not sure on the log on and off though... hmmmm good think I like to make assumptions!!

That is the funniest thing I've seen in a while, I laughed so hard I cried.
A 4M is supposed to be fun, the new look of the place has taken most of the fun away. I would gladly pay to have it back but I don't see that as an option.
