Snow here snow there, carnage count?

Got Snow?

Our little crew busted a trailing arm up Ephraim Canyon today...... And one last week in Superbowl area. 2 different sleds...with different riders.

And let me say, Superbowl area SUCKED for snow. there was nothing but sagebrush and rocks the whole way.

I knew there was carnage in our future.

Dan how much for the motor in that "yard sell"?;)

Well bros & broettes, after carefull consideration and much deliberation all I can say is, man Im glad it wasnt me! You know I've been there and done that and dont want to do it again! Edge who did your motor? That sux! I think we need to kill a chicken or something?

I had RPM do the tear down the first time because I thought it was related to the re flash that they did 2 rides earlier. They told me they were not going to warranty it so I picked up my sled and did the rebuild my self. Now it is at big boys toys. Hopefully they can figure out what is going on.:mad: Between my polaris edge and now this m1000 I have spent $5,400 in the last 3 seasons just in engine repairs alone. I think I have bad luck when it comes to sleds.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Complete front right suspension torn off my '02 mod Edge RMK. Trailing arm, shock, radius rods, foot rest and belly pan. Yard sale to say the least. Funny, ski wasn't hurt.

sled_guy

I have a couple of those foot rest / wells if you want them.

First ride of the year at Fairview. My fault no base
TM1000 0 Large rock 1
Left arms upper and lower, Fox float, belly pan, AFR guage (broke it going over bars on insta stop), totally destroyed a new SLP Powder pro

Second ride of the year. Lake Creek
Base was decent and started to get confident. 5 more minutes in elavation rise and would have been fine
TApex 0 Rock 1
Very luck to only have it sheer the nut off my upper A arm bolt and a little plastic damage

4th ride Dry Fork
Friend's TApex 1 My Left Hand 0
Digging a friend out of a stick. Other friend comes over the hill and gets sucked down into my Cat. I try to move the cat and my hand gets in the way of his sled. Luckily my hand saved the Cat from further damage ;-)

In 5 years of riding I haven't had this many issues. Oh well

All back together and had a couple really good rides since

i have one buddy who bent an a arm on his first ride out. Then he fixed it and we went again and within 100ft from where he bent it he fell off and hit a tree ripped the a arm off broke the shock.

Another buddy was climbing the hill and lost his coil.

A friend i wasnt riding with had his 08 800 dragon with the new update was riding down the trail and his crank snapped and the clutch fell off.

A skidoo 800 hit a tree and bent the a arm but it was not hurt and is still ride able.

Custom painted rev xp endowed down hill and chipped some paint off and broke clutch cover

Its been a wild season so far.

I bent a Powder Pro ski in half yesterday! I even bent the steel saddle. However, wasn't from low snow, it was from following 2 other knot heads down a steep, tree filled slope! ;) I've told the forest service a thousand times.....I need all those trees planted at least 43" apart! Ha! Just say no to going 3rd when it comes to steep descents!

edit: Add A-Arms to the counts....@#$%!!! Hello! Zbroz! Can you get some arms shipped to me by the weekend? :)

a couple holes in the belly pan and a cracked chain case is all so far.
each incident was fixed with in a day and I was back on the hill.

gotta love dealer support.:beer;

Well I guess I have a few wrecked things. My feelings, all these niffty rides and no invites. My mental health, no riding makes me cranky. Mental health again, working while my buddies are riding just flat pisses me off. My lungs staying down here in the farking toilet bowl valley breathing the brown air aint good. Wheres Dunner lets make a sacrifice!

Awesome. ^ If you had red duct tape you'd never know.

Only one trailering arm here. knock, knock. Unless you count my wife driving over my helmet on the trail. Black duct tape to hold that together. Time for a new helmet.

I hope your head was not in it.
Gorilla Tape rules and everyone knows any type of tape makes you go faster.

Every time I see these threads I am grateful it's not me. I almost never ride until January, and this year it will probably be March before Farmington sees enough snow to take my first ride.

My sled does have the carbs and secondary off though, but that's just to see if I can figure out why it won't get above 7200 RPM. Should have it sorted out by this weekend.

Pretty lucky today. After bouncing sleds off logs and stumps for 3 hours trying to get out of a sticky situation we came away with no damage! 3 xp's as well. I wasn't too fond of that t-shirt that says trees are for traction.....until today!

Thanks for the excitement Jacob!:beer;

Good to hear. Can't wait to see the pics.

My next shirt will say "Logs for Brakes". Brakes having 2 meanings. LOL
