Snow Eliminators vs. Better boards

Great thread. I decided on plastic from Fastlane and they were easy to install and look clean. Can't wait to use them. Just wondering if large opening will allow crap to shoot thru from skis?

Dunno 'bout that, but order a buncha extra grip screws, cause you wll lose a bunch of them... they have a tendency to just fall out

hey guys with the fast lane boads... i like the look of these but the only thing that worries me is boot traction... have you had any traction problems???

thanks

No not at all. The best boards out there. You will always have more traction because you won't be standing on snow or ice.

the fastlanes are second to none...a great great board

Apex needs reinforcing

Has anyone seen either of these on a Yamaha apex ltx gt I need the one that will double as a tunnel/board stiffiner ???/ Which one runs up the side far enough to help support the boards?

Spoke with F-Bomb ove the phone a few days ago, got his product and am happy, although i tweek everything i ever get, they are much better then the other boards i have seen and his customer service is top notch:beer;

I do beleave the key is, sont cut out everything, just cut the windows and use more rivots then you think you will need

Without question Rob is the easiest guy I have ever dealt with. He is one of those people that are nice before during and after the sale!!! I live in the same city as him and he even let me pick them up at his house (so I could get them on faster). I love supporting the local guys, especially when they are like Rob. Oh ya the boards are awesome too.

Another satisfied customer using Rob's Better Boards! I decided to cut out the entire front area. I started to cut out each window and after looking at the little strips that were left, there is no way they help with strength. Most of the strips are punched out and the little raised nubs prevent the Better Boards from sitting flush. I think Rob would agree with cutting out the entire area. My other recommendation would be to drill out the 3 factory rivets that go to the support bracket for the top idler wheel and replace with new rivets through the Better Boards (I didn't do this and now I don't have anymore matching black rivets and can't find any locally).

That wide board kit looks awsome, are the tube rails stronger than the stock parts? My rails are sagging even with Snow Eliminators installed. Does the track rub on the rivets on the inside of the tunnel? only about 1/8" clearance there. I looked at your website but there was no info or price for this kit, are you going to update it?

I had the sno-eliminators on my m7, better than stock but I still had to kick ice and snow from the boards, I will be using plastic ones (fastlane) on my m-1000
