Snow Eliminators vs. Better boards

I have the Snow Eliminators and by far the best mod I have spent money on. The set I have has a mountian cut out that is used as a stiffiner.

You can see the cut out in the pic

Better Boards rock. I've had them on my last 2 sleds, and it's hard to ride without them. You get a lot of extra traction, and they do stiffin up your tunnel. A must if you ride a Rev.

I bought better boards because they come from "F-Bomb" who is on this site all the time and he's a stand up guy. Met him a bunch of times at the shows and would rather support people here then others no matter the product.

Better Boards

If you look in this picture you will see snow, lots and LOTS of snow, there is snow everywhere!

Except... right where my feet ride on a set of Rob's Better Boards.

I have the powder coated ones on this sled and my Wife's Edge has the plain aluminum. I don't know what some folks are talking about with the snow sticking to them. STEP DOWN and the snow is gone, any ice is gone.

No snow on the running boards. Feet don't slip off running boards. No more flexing in the running boards.

To top it all off, you will not find a better, more helpfull, knowledgeable and bendoverbackwardstoplease person to do business with than Rob.

Happy Sledding! :beer; B

Snow Eliminators

Put My On Last Week And Tried Them Out On The Weekend. Best Thing Ever. Didnt Bash My Shin Once. The Zx Running Boards Are Small Enough As It Is, But These Sure Help Out A Million.

Snow Eliminators is one of the best things ive ever done to my sled. There is no substitution for traction! Any snow that ever builds up falls right through the openings under foot! A must have on any sled i will ever own!

I have an edge chassis. which works better? i have buddies with both types and they look pretty much the same to me. Does anyone know of any other running board inserts that work good... I would just like a few options.

I like the snow eliminators, they have bigger holes. but I am sure they both work well.

do you guys have a website for the snow eliminators? I need a set for the iq race chassis. Rob is not going to make them for this chassis. Thanks for the help.

bill at mountain fit hoods make's the plastic ones for all sleds and they work damn good, call him at 509-218-1397

The the se's and the Better Boards for that Edge chassis are very similar. I make my traction cleats slightly more aggressive on that chassis because it is a narrow running board I wanted the cleats to be parallel to the outer heat extrusion so your foot wouldn't get trapped straight. Your heel needs freedom of movement. It feels really quite weird initially since you now have almost 1/3 again more standing surface. It also feels like you are going to slide off sideways but you don't! Then once you are used to that feel they are AWESOME and basically irreplaceable for the benefit of TRACTION and SNOW not building up where you put your feet.

I ride both an edge chassis and a raw iq chassis daily. I get the advantage of taking both as I have an assistant tester that comes along and then I get to try both in every condition. They simply work great and flat out if you don't have the product on your sled and you ride in deep powder it sucks. In all of the mods that I've done to sleds (trust me here I've done them all except propane) this is the one single thing that enhances your riding experience the most for the littlest investment. We took a problem and flat out solved it.

I'm well over a thousand units sold this season alone. The masses are loving them!
see other samples and info at www.f-bombracing.com
you would have to see them, they are a super clean install we should get pics soon. They are installed on a 09 dragon it will be at the spokane show if your coming. They aren't made out of aluminum either, the frames are mad of abs, which is flexable, unlike the aluminum framed. The running boards are made of HDPE, which stands for high dentsity plastic (something), but it's the same stuff that playground equipment is made out of so snow doesn't stick to it and it's really strong. The boards are about 3/8 thick and the way you attach them gives really good grip. And like everything else from mountain fit hoods, these are at a great and affordable price

have had both, like the coating that better boards puts on them...seems to prevent some icing...here are pics of the two sleds....I pcoated my own SE's

I put the Snow Eliminators on my Edge RMK and they were great. Put them on my Dragon and hate them, they close up the already tight footwells even more. The grip cleats go right up to the foot well, and your feet get stuck in there. I wish I would have seen the Better Boards first they are flat in this area.

For anyone that knows, why are there no pre-punched rivet holes in the better boards?

Allows you to decide how and where to put the rivets.
It is really a no big deal thing.
it took me an hour to cut the running boards and install the better boards.
I won't ride without em now. They ROCK.

I have the Better Boards as well. I will get pics up soon. I have seen them on a Dragon which is the reason I went this route! Great Product!

Rob is a great guy to deal with!
