Ski-doo xp.....terrible !!

so a doo with to much flotation is worse than a polaris with not enough flotation?

Yeah man i put the turbo on it, thats for the extra little bit when im going where I want. But none of you dipsticks read. You just jump the gun and start raging off the handle

So, your poopoo wouldn't get you to where you want to go? Mmmmm, did it have too little flotation? So then you put a turbo on it and then you want to compare a stock RENTAL sled?

And you must not read prior posts either. Because you never addressed the fact that skidoo outsells all the other three brands combined. That would tell me that you are in the minority.

Then you go on and on about the problems that skidoo sleds have had. Well, again when they are leading the rest BY FAR then statistically there will be more complaints just because of sheer volume. I'll put this in lame mans terms for you:

If Napoleon Dynamite sells 20 Schwinn bikes and 100 Napoleon TurboDoo bikes, 2 of the Schwinns break down while 9 of the Napoleon TurboDoo bikes breaks down, which has the higher failure rate?
No Silly OB, it's the Schwinn!!! But guess what, when all of the people with the broken bikes go on snowest and gripe about their bikes, it will seem like the Napoleon TurboDoo bike is the worse of the two when it's not! That's simply because there are more people to complain about it!!! Does that make any sense?

Now, when the XP came out in 08 and was named the best climbing sled of the year, what did that tell you? No OB! They don't allow turbos in this competition! Because the PooPoo wasn't even close stock for stock!

Oberg and brad. Not to be a smart ***, but i do believe some readers have made helpful comments or suggestions about setting up the machine (strap limiter, shock settings, etc). I noticed neither of u asked any questions or replied to any of those comments. This leads us to believe that ur board and just looking to stir stuff up. If u come on here and leave a question instead of just ""trashing" the machine, u'll probably find u'll recieve a lot more positive responses. The majority of people on this site are very helpful and considerate. I do find it hard to believe that u made the comment that its got "too much" floatation. The majority of people spend rediculous amounts of money to get the sled lighter and get more floatation. There is no such thing as "too much". Its what we're all striving to achieve.
As for the machine itself, minor adjustments to these sleds (because they're so light), makes a huge difference. And thats only the suspension. Minor adjustments to the clutching can make a huge difference also. I own one, i'm gonna tell you that it takes a while to get adjustments figured out so u can optimize the full potential of the machine. But when u do get them dialed in they are amazing. If they weren't, u wouldn't see the sales numbers up so high.
As for your rental, well, i've rented all types of machines in different situations, and theres been lots that weren't set up properly and pissed me off all day. If i wanted help to figure out the problems i was having, the people on this site have been more than helpful if u ask properly and not say dumb things. Anyways, have a good day.
Crap, now thats 20 minutes i'll never get back. Lol

See! I make a simple comment on the sled and out come the Napoleon Dynamite jokes. I am reading the posts given by those who aren't so immature, on how to get the sled to run.

By the way man, your sled may be the HILL CLIMBER OF THE YEAR. It just takes all the recalls and repairs to get it to that title. So take a turn key sled for a run maybe you'll quit with the insults and actually learn something point dexter.

With me I talk about the sled, all of you ignorant parents have nothing to say but a bunch of childish crap. If you have something intelligent to say then yeah I can possibly follow the discretion given, but if your gonna pull out the "SIT DOWN RIDER" and "SCHWINN BIKES" comments then I wash your opinion down the toilet with the rest of my solids.

See the one guy was being a human being. The rest of you cover your ears like kids and start screaming NO NO NO NO NO DONT WANNA HEAR IT. Also look at the other XP forum, are you guys gonna try and roast him too, just live with the faults and discuss the problem. Diplomacy actually solves error.

I just love an incorrect correction.

Layman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Laymen)
This article is about non-experts. For non-clergy, see Laity.
Look up layman in
Wiktionary, the free dictionary.
The term "layman" originated from the use of the term laity, but over the centuries, changed definition to mean a person who is a non-expert in a given field of knowledge.
The concept of describing something in layman’s terms has come into wide use in the English speaking world. To put something in layman’s terms is to describe a complex or technical issue using words and terms that the average individual (someone without professional training in the subject area) can understand, so that they may comprehend the issue to some degree. An explicitly gender-neutral version of the word is layperson.
In the computing sciences, a layperson environment includes easy to use desktop environments and interactive tools and software. These address the concepts of HCI (Human-Computer Interaction); accessibility, feedback, learnability, visibility, affordance, efficiency, and effectivity. These concepts and subsequent tools are incorporated into everything from calculators, to personal computers, to GIS systems, to even a space shuttle.

still fighting eh insults insults insults. Well forgive my typo and just let me say this boys. When it comes down to it take some more shots at my riding skill, my set up w/e. Just remember though deep down, I gave a negative review with facts to support it, you dont need to teach me apples and oranges, I know what I rode was not acceptable. If you feel so personally offended by it then go ask a BRP rep to hold you and wipe the tears from your cheeks after you see me highmark the hell out of those DOOS. You are all immature, have no point of argument its just steady JARGON pouring out of your meat holes. So when you find a fault in my sled, if you need to pick apart my rants more, then go ahead. Just go out to your garage right now though look at that Ski-Doo and wonder how many pennies and pubes you can let it go for.

If someone has a Summit XP and wants to make it work good, PM or call me...there are some good gains to be had.
Also....riding a XP for a day or 2 it will feel awkward, especially if you are coming from another brand. But once you get used to riding the chassis it is an absolute blast and very easy to ride....even makes ME look like a good rider!! For contrast, I also ride a '09 Dragon 163...or I TRY to ride it, I feel like a complete spode on that thing, I find it hard to control and awkward. I'm sure with enough saddle time I would change my mind, just as with enough time and good setup the XP is a great sled. :beer;:)

K oberg, now ur just being dumb. I'm not gonna try to pick your sled apart. I really couldn't give a damn what u ride. The fact is that i've been sittin here being patient since i thought u might want some information on how to set an xp up better for your style of riding, but i've come to the conclusion that ur not here for that. Quit being such a dough head. The only reason i'm still on here is because of boredom and i think the situation is mutual. Find something to do.

I actually appreciate your input because it was somewhat helpful, but everyone else on here has a serious issue with criticism. I did take the advice you gave me to knowledge, someday if someone has to ride one ill pass it along thank you.

But like i said about the rest of these wingnuts, they all have no room to hear a plea of complaint.

people in here don't like you post your opinion oberg, glad to hear your opinion. have a buddy with an 09 154 xp, it runs pretty darn good but with only 200 miles on it he has had to replace an a arm, the a arm mount is cracked, not sure what you call it but a rear mount on the tunnel busted, and when he rolled it over once it caught on fire............ not the sled for me, don't want to be riding around on an aluminum can thats guna keep needing chassis parts...... my .02$......... don't care what any of you say the chassis is a pop can and he agree's with me...........

finally someone with an honest FACTUAL opinion. Thanks. :)

Now am I such an a$$?

I'm at a loss for words!....almost

The ignorance is simply so thick in this particular thread that any reasonable comments or helpful advice is knocking on this ignoramus' door and I'm pretty sure no one is home to answer.

I respect every competent riders CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM in regards to their sleds' reviews but this is nowhere near close to being A) from a competent rider B) Constructive C) helpful or D) thought provoking.

Alright POINDEXTER, again with the too much flotation..... You haven't elaborated on this fact. I, myself, as well as my fellow snowesters following this thread would like to see you explain your seemingly infinite wisdom in your rebuttal, not just more word garbage.

And really?..............really?..............You're comparing a stock RENTAL XP to "your" turboed Polaris? Am I wrong in thinking that a turboed sled of any kind will carry it's skis higher and further than a rental XP? If I'm wrong, you wasted a nice chunk of dough on your snowmobile.

Now please, with all due respect, respond to this (yet again) with an unrelated comment about mine or someone elses style of riding style, or better yet our choice of sleds and further continue to dig yourself a hole into what will soon become a bottomless pit of ignorance and sheer fatuity.

So, brad7474 and oberg_89....
when you two were riding the rented XP which one of you got to steer???
From the sounds of it you guys share not only a sled but a brain too! :D

Bwahahahahahah !!! Two up seat on a summit xp, bwahahahahah !!!! Probably holding on to his buddies "He-Hooters" so he didn't fall off the back of the xp.
