Ski-doo xp.....terrible !!

One hundred percent agree.

We were in Golden two weeks ago, three of my buddies and I, one had a polaris Dragon, the others had Arctic Cats, and I had this POS ski-doo.

My Dragon was being borrowed by a friend for a week, he's down in Wyoming, and I had to rent this thing.

I assumed Ski-Doo had fixed all there problems considering they had 25 Million in warranty claims last year. But i was wrong.

The Doo has great power and everything but yeah, like you said, its a god damned squirrel on the hill. Its jumping around all over the place trying to dart into the trees. Its a real mess.

All of my buddies were teasing me for having to rent this hunk of junk, and I never will rent one again. It was one hundred percent complete **** trash.

Let me get this straight, you lent your turboed polaris to your friend for a week to thrash in Wyoming which led you to rent a POS XP. I know exactly where you are coming from. I lent my turboed Porche to a buddy of mine for a week also and I got stuck with an Isuzu Pup pick up. Shame on both of us for posting this stupid thread.

FUNNY Chit! Here I sit in Florida (work meeting) and since I am here I have a Polaris rider driving my Roush Mustang while I am gone. HA HA HA HA HA Oh wait I want that Polaris Rider to feel true HP.:beer;

Front End Light

Pull up the limiter strap. Clean the clutches.. Get professional help. Repeat as needed.

I would have assumed the 09 XP was a good sled, its brand ****ing new. I lent my sled out last min. Are you honestly telling me you'd agree enough to hold onto my Polaris so i didn't have to ride the joker?

Mind you, I'm not in here to promote Polaris products, i am here to bring forth the Ski-Doo that was made so poorly.

BRP as everyone knows means

Bring Repair Parts

This post may have started from a very frustred Polaris Dragon Rider, whom was really frustrated by the release of the "Flatlander RUSH" model. Love the Polaris guy's, can Polaris copy Ski-Doo anymore and get away with it? Pyramidal frame? WTF, get real make your own design. Let me guess the 600 motor is Direct Injection?

The rush has now a revolutionary rear end suspension that the rest of the competition jarring to catch up with. It will come out on top as the most powerful and comfortable freestyle sled.

If they chose to copy SD, they'd chase the light front end design thats squirelly and weak? And have jackshaft bearing failure, complete $hit trash clutches? Need I say more?

Not neccessarily do I believe it has poor flotation its just it has to ****ing much. Everyone I know complains that with no weight on the thing, it just glides around with barely any power.

Are you serious??? Too much flotation? I think you need to learn how to ride. Flotation keeps you from getting stuck and climbs better. Try spending some time setting up your sled and learn to carve a bit to control your turns. Sorry, but your response is lame.

I agree with mntpull..serioulsy dude ....

Staying on top, is the way to the top !!!!

you might wanna write that down !! seriously, write it down..

Enjoy !!!!

Some of the stuff he said sounds goofy, but...

The XP is a big let down. You're better off with a XRS.
Even after all the belt fixes and stuff it still will not live up to the high expectations we had, at least without a huge amount of work.

Any lightweight sled feels kinda squirrly, the XP feels like a mod to me ,its light so you tend to feel more trail or ground feed back, the light weight also makes it more sensitive to the correct suspension setup, a heavy sled tends to carve over easy, the weight tips with you , makes some people feel safe and planted. I love my XP I have spent thousands in the past on every sled i ever bought just to get it to go and feel this light and go this good .THANKYOU BRP FOR SAVING ME MONEY.I feel your pain Olberg having to spend all that cash on a turbo just so you could make that polaris fun ,such a pitty

"Too much flotation"

LOL - that sounds like a AM Snow trail-rider with 40,000 miles under his belt this season in the UP reviewing a 163" model in Maine's deep powder! ...all while in the back of his mind comparing it to his two-up Venture LE, which he just loves!

;-)

Do yourself a favor. Never ride a turbo. Ski's are for the ride down. Not going up....
And I have a 08 154XP. Best sled I have ever owned. Like the guys said set up is everything. A little clutching won't hurt either.:D

set up your suspension properly, or improperly if thats what you want and you may even get it to tunnel like a yamaha on the hill, shortening the limiter strap will keep the skis down. soften the front shock on the skid and make the back springs as hard as possible, solves all the ski lift problem.

When climbing the front end was so light that it would dart all over the hill. I think this is also because of the garbage 16inch wide track causing to much flotation.

LMFAO, who's gonna be the 1st to have this quote as there sig line?

The only thing he's missing, is it had too much power, and it took me to the top of the hill way too fast!

I got a solution for ya Brad. Go to the gym, get 2 45lb plates, strap 1 of them to the tunnel, and one under the hood. That should take away the flotation problem for you. 2nd, trade your Summit in for a MXZ, and get the 121" track. Maybe a 550 fan or something so you don't have so much power, that your front end comes up.

This is by far one of the funniest threads I've ever read on here.
