SHR880 Challenge - bring it.

I am available every other weekend, so you will have to let me know what weekend you are thinking and I'll let you know if that's one that I am available. I am down to meet up again this year, hopefully I won't have to travel all the way to Island Park again haha

Fairview shoot out is coming up end of March here in Utah... I am done traveling this yr... Did 3 trips and I live in an area with great snow...

Okay what is done to this 880 to make it a runner?:face-icon-small-hap

Time, money, and a lot of support and help from builder..... It's really all about the combination of everything you have done to it... You can not just slap a big bore in sled and expect to run with guys that have been tuning them for years... Mini and I are setup very close ... Have done all the same mods, we have done about everything you can do... I have 1,500 trouble free miles on mine... Runs the same every time I ride it... I am very anal on maintaining as well... Our clutching, jetting everything is so close... Kinda funny we live in different states and ended up with such similar setups

Jetting?? Did I miss something? I thought this was about the BB etecs?

So this meet and greet had pteks?

Let me know what weekend and I'm sure I will be able to work something out. If nothing else, you and I can compare and ride.

i'm not trying to step on anyones toes but the weather didn't work so we couldn't ride with slim and his etec 880 and no one with 872 etec's showed up so we just compared what we had there and as for what i can see they are so close i dont see how one can be better then the other it's like six of one and half a dozen of the other it comes down to what builder you like to deal with

So how is that real porting working out for ya:face-icon-small-blu

It's working fantastic, pulls like a damn freight train. My only complaint is not getting out west often enough. Glad I didn't load up and head west for this event though, maybe next time!

Glad those who went were still able to have a good time

Cool yep me neither been low snow year here so far.

shootout

cheers to the guys that showed up and glad everyone made it home safe.looked like terrible weather.the whole thread has been entertaining and hope another day can be planned for riding.were there any vids or helmet cam shots at all?

Well my 800R took a dump up in Thayne, but it's currently being punched out to an SHR 880. Hoping to get it back with some riding time still available. If it happens, I'd be willing to drive from the SW corner of Wyo to meet up.

Only hiccup is a little boy coming around April 10th...

Well our adventure with the BB didn't pan out as well as would've liked either. There was an SHR 860 in the group and we rode together for 3 days ....in the trees. Socked in and no hills to compare on. He had a 154 2.5 and I have the 163 3"...so not apples to apples anyway. The talk of the trip was definitely the 3" track more than the builder.....it just makes that big of a difference. Trenchking and Dusty5oh are excellent tree riders (way out of my league as I prefer the hills) and great guys to hang with. It really does come down to talking to a builder and testing the product in the real world before making a decision.....oh.....and getting a 3" track. I think both trenchking and Dusty are convinced of that now.
By the way, I raced the Txp across the lake. I got the hole shot, but after about 200 yards....I didn't even exist !!! It was exactly what I was expecting !!!!

Sounds like you are again having a great season, And yes I am always working on more out of our product, (872) Will be back on the

Superflow real soon, Trying some updates on the guys on the RMSHA circuit with great results also, Will be in Jackson Hole this

weekend for races and see on changes, Hey allrevsrule the new pistons were worth 2 horse alone and smoother running also!

The pro drivers on 872's posted 3 first places at the last race (RMSHA ciruit),

Glad to see that you guys did not put any effort into that bogus 880 challenge on snowest it did not work out that well for them,

Slim turned out twice on 2 runs half way up the designated climb because he was so far behind on his mighty 880!!!!

They searched out a customer at a restaurant riding with his daughter In alpine Wyoming , 872 customer was also much heavier

and still had heavy clutching from Washington state in 872 (low rpm) still didn't take much to send the shr 880 back home!

Sounds about right.. The arrogance seems to always shine through.. Still not sure why people support this guy

Hunting him down huh? Well truth is I talked to him at breakfast.. No one else.. I never did see him on the hill.. Slim never met the guy before they met on the hill. And I wasn't there, so not sure how that is considered hunting him down.. But that's cool! However you guys want to present it is fine... As long as it's in trygstad's favor all is well.. I did tell him that there were a few 880s riding Bedford that day.. That was it.. Never saw him again.. Somehow slm and him ran into each other on the hill.. I did not see either of them while I riding that day..

The 880 challenge never happened, correct? The only ones there were Scratley and madmini, both carbed. The other race--was that when Slim's sled was having electrical issues and had to go in and get reflashed?? Way to hang a victory on that one!! My buddies 872 has the red wire issue once in a while, I sure don't consider that a loss in his book when his sled won't run. His three in track wouldn't hook up last weekend in West, old man's 880 wouldn't hook up, and his 860 waxed everybody. Beat the crap out of my turbo 'til about half way up the hill also.

Man this is getting old, both engines are solid performers.
